Hello out there :-)
Have you ever created a vision board? I haven't!
I will be turning 45 this year - and I KNOW there are a few things I want to accomplish before I turn 50, and habits I want to ingrain in my life.
One of my huge goals is to complete my Master's degree. I am well on my way toward this goal - and I will graduate in 2021 as a nurse practitioner.
I'd also love to own a home. I live in Southern California, so this is a bit tricky on a single income. I don't know if my boyfriend and I will eventually combine households. We talk about it ... but, there aren't any solid plans. The truth is ... it's so nice to have my own place. I love the downtime. I am a bit of an introvert, and as much as I love him - having my own place isn't the worst thing in the world. I'd really like a small home with a backyard and a lemon tree. Even a lemon tree in a pot would work just fine.
I don't know that I will stay in Southern California, but it's wonderful here. The thought of being land-locked is a bit of a downer, so if I can make it work here - I will do so! I'd really like to have some roots. I suppose I've been a bit of a drifter in life - not so much on purpose, but it's just the way things have gone for me. I've lived in 8 different states in my life!
It sometimes hits me hard that I don't have children. It would have been a wonderful thing to have children and a family - but that path was not for me. As I am officially turning the corner on having babies, those feelings come back up - and I have to remind myself that God has ordained my path. Whatever challenges I have faced, they are because He has a special plan for me and my life.
Even at my age -- I feel like there is still a plan for me.
I'd like to ask that you say a special prayer for me. Please pray that I will do well on my mid-term exam on Saturday. And pray that God will send my holy angels to lead me and guide me as I go through my days. Pray that God will send me loving friends who are blessings to me and that I am healthy and whole spiritually, relationally, emotionally and physically.
Dear Lord, Let Your light shine brightly through me and bless me with a healthy self-image to know that I am precious to You. May I grow to be responsible, generous, and humble. May I be a person of integrity and good sense. Please lead me, guide me, and love me.
This is my prayer. Amen.
