Pulling weeds is exercise!

Hello,
I will be blogging on here to keep myself accountable, as that will help me make progress. I lost weight back in 2012 with the help of this site, and now would like to do it again. It's the community that make all the difference.
Daily I walk my dog but will be adding in workouts as well. I'm eating healthier and bought some fresh veggies so I can up the amount of raw veggies that I'm eating. However I'm thinking of tracking my food eaten in a food diary. I didn't do that the last time I lost weight, and have never been able to keep up with inputting into a website like this one, but I may just write it in a notebook. Does tracking your food in a notebook or online make a big difference for any of you?
I do notice that when I exercise I eat healthier as I'm just automatically motivated and I haven't really been exercising so when I start that (TODAY! and going forward) it will help.
I just finished an hour of cutting grass and pulling weeds (as well as throwing sticks for my dog to chase in the backyard) as it is a lovely day here but am planning a workout for this evening too.
I feel motivated and determined and am trying to not be overwhelmed by the amount of weight that needs / wants to be lost. My goal is to lose 50 lbs and then assess again and take the next stage from there.
If any of you feel like you are at the bottom of the mountain staring up, I know what it is like. The truth is that we are in the middle of a mountain range, having traveled quite far already. Remind yourself of all that you have done and accomplished so far, and then just take the next step. One foot in front of the other.
My goal isn't to lose so many pounds a week, but instead will be to do so many workouts a week as that is breaking it into manageable chunks for myself and something which I feel I can control more than the scales right now.
Together, we can do this!!!!
