I Had No Idea It Had Been So Long!!

Sunday, June 07, 2020

Soooo... oh my god! I had no idea it had been so long since my last blog! So much has changed!

So my marriage ended up being very bad an toxic for me so last July I left and my divorce was finalized in January. Of course, right before the divorce until mid-May he was still finding ways to try and ruin my life, so last month I had to call the authorities in Florida and I haven't heard a peep from him since (I had him blocked on everything, so he started messaging some of my friends through Facebook. Uuuugh!) so I'm hopeful that that will be the end of him harassing me. I'm not going to go into everything, just know it was very unpleasant and contacting authorities was my last resort, but it had to be done. He's made it difficult for me to close that door for good but I truly believe it's finally done. That being said, I've moved on a long time ago, but now it's without him trying to stay in my life in some seriously messed-up way.

So while I was in Florida, mostly due to the stress of my marriage, I gained back a decent portion of what I lost. I had lost 30 pounds the first few months after I moved back to Wisconsin, but I hadn't lost more until I started back up recently. Since Friday, I've lost 3 pounds, so I'm happy with how I'm starting out! I'm going to start tracking my food tomorrow and I'm excited for results! During my time in Florida, I had somehow injured my left knee, so swimming is my best bet for cardio right now. Today I swam laps for a half hour and oh my god did I feel it! I came home, ate a salad and slept for 2 hours. I was really sore when I woke up so I took a bath and that helped sooooo much! I know as I keep doing it it'll get better though! I am seeing my doctor regarding my knee though so it can get better. I really want to do Zumba again too!

So in short, it feels so good to be back! I'm looking to being an active part of Sparkpeople again!

I'm so glad u got away and moved on. I know a woman who left a terrible marriage and then went back to college and took 6 yrs to get a nursing degree because she was also working but she later married a Lab Tech who was 4 yrs younger and they have a great relationship.

Sorry about the past issues. Glad you are able to swim. No pools open here. Take care of your knee.
