All Good Things Come to an End---NO!
Tuesday, June 23, 2020
I was reading in bed and got up to do something and it felt like my hip came out of place. It temporarily paralyzed me. I thought, "Well this has happened before and everything was fine in a couple of minutes." Not so this time.
It hurt all night and the next day. I knew I needed help so I called a Physical Therapy place and made an appointment. After the appointment, things greatly improved. The therapist did not want me to work out on the elliptical or rowing machines. Disappointing. I was thrilled to learn that my hip was not headed for hip replacement. He tested me and said that it was a very unhappy tendon. Today it has been much better until noon...then a slight limp has reappeared. I'll see the PT again tomorrow. I know this will be a short term thing and I am so happy to know this. I am still able to a few exercises and walking and biking are allowed, so I will be fine. I'm just happy that I am willing to look at this situation rationally recognizing that it is not the end of the world and turning to food for comfort. I am staying on my healthy living plan. Again, this is a terrific non-scale victory for me! YIPEE!
