Found a solution to my stress

These days, with the COVID-19 rampant, have been stressful. Not being able to visit people or see them (because of masks) in the stores, when I make a needed grocery visit, has really affected me. I now have time to get things done but lack the energy or will to do them due to the stress adding to my depression. But recently I read that lack of DEEP SLEEP because of the this situation can cause you not only only be depressed and stressed but make you gain weight even if you are dieting. Fortunately, they had a recommendation. They said that lack of Melatonin was hindering my DEEP SLEEP. Because of the stress my body could not make enough of the melatonin to allow me to DEEP SLEEP.

Deep Sleep is when your body repairs itself. The body creates and releases melatonin which supports this process. But because of the stress, you are making the melatonin during the day and thus it weakens its ability to create the DEEP SLEEP which your body needs.

After reading this I bought a bottle of Melatonin on Amazon with only the 3mg per use. I did that because too much Melatonin is not good either. I was not sure how or if it would work but it was not expensive ($6.80 for 250 tablets). You place it under your tongue for 30 seconds where it devolves and then drink water to wash it down. One per day. But do not take for more than 30 days at a time. Need a 2 week break to allow your body to do it themselves.

After one day I slept well, felt better, and got things around the house done since I had the energy and will to do them. Day two I walked 10,000 steps and got jobs done, the same with day three. Then I chose to stop taking the pill to see what happened. Voila! I was sleeping well without the pill! Day two with no pill I slept well for 10 hours! I feel better, am happier, and have more energy.

So I guess I just needed to reboot my body. Fortunately I did not have to take 30 days to do it. But I am feeling more like my self now, am not tired.

    I am so glad that you found the solution. I don't go to sleep until about 4 AM and then get up before 7 AM. I was stressed about not having our paperwork and I knew that was a huge factor in not sleeping. Thank God, He answered my prayers about this. We probably would have never found the papers until my husband remembered where he may have put them. I would not have EVER looked in the Stow N Go!

    We have done many big projects since moving. We took everything out of our detached garage, set it on the driveway, and then vacuumed and scrubbed the floor and up the block walls to the drywall, then hosed it out, let it dry, and moved everything back in. We also have a detached garage.

    I do take it once in a great while, maybe I need to take it for a few nights and then stop and see how I feel. Thanks for the info.
