Its REALLY making such a difference!!

Those of you who read my blogs know that for the next 5 weeks I've set up 2 goals that are doable, yet a challenge. They are:

Daily do 8,000 steps
Daily eat 2 freggies (FRuit/vEGGIES) which is NOT AT ALL easy for me.

Does having these 2 goals really make a difference in my life?

Today was DAY 3

YES!!! For instance today it POURED with 2 1/2 inches in the area of Maine I live in. I felt DRAB today and wanted nothing more than to stay curled up in bed!!! The pain I've been since the 4th of June has NOT lessened at all, but moving around isn't make it worse,nor is eating nor not eating. Next tests is a week from Weds. So it was a struggle today to get these goals in.



Did I though?

YES!!! I got in 8,426 STEPS though I had to really work at it today
YES!! I eat 2 servings of Freggies!!!

Again I DO NOT NEED to perfect as long as I do what I can for the day. Though I felt so DRAB and did not have the motivation, I STILL did it.

    Wish we had gotten all that rain too, just barely sprinkled up here, I am afraid my raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries are going to be a total loss this year if we don’t get some rain soon

    Way to Go!!! You encourage me so much...rainy day. emoticon and pain on top of that. It would be so easy to make excuses to not do anything. You are AMAZING!!! I am late this morning because I decided to brave the gym and go to the pool. I wore a mask until I got to the pool. They took my temperature at the desk. The best part...I was the only one in the pool. It has been so long since I swam that I think my arms might feel like falling off my body tomorrow. But it was soooo nice to swim.

    Oh Dianne, you are worse than me on the freggies! My parent's tried to tell me I was the only child in the world who didn't like veggies. I did not believe them! HA!

    As long as you are trying to make progress, that is what counts. By the way, I've found that I can eat some veggies in their raw state but not cooked. Have you tried jicama? It's a root vegetable, but in some respects, it's a bit like apple. Has that crisp crunch and texture. Brussels sprouts I can eat raw and will chop them and mix them with salad greens. Don't think I'll ever want to eat beets (oh yuck!) but it's about the progress, right?!

    I'm pretty good on fruit, but they have sugar and even if it's natural, you have to be mindful of that fact.

    Good for you for getting the steps in on a rainy day.
