Wk 8 Weigh In

Wednesday, July 29, 2020

Definitely a week I don't want to repeat anytime soon.

I half expected things to not go smoothly and that is exactly how they went and just half way. This time one of the movers did not quit mid-move they were just slow, drawing out the clock. The cable guy did come into my home as they ease Covid restrictions but was early which meant I couldn't monitor what he was doing and found out that I don't have a telephone line in every room there is a jack....just the essentials ma'am.

I did not expect a great loss and naturally due to my grab a pizza here and soup sounds good week, I did not have one. Also I believe last weeks' gain is in the mix just getting adjusted here.

Loss: 2 lbs
Total: 26.4 lbs

The kitchen is in place and tomorrow will be a good day to get groceries especially since masks are going to be mandatory in public places August 1st. I bought good ones that even hold a filter if you choose. The only problem is I can't breathe through the layers and my glasses fog up....this will fun.

Going forward this week is to expect better for myself....and see how that goes!

Well, I'm glad to hear that maybe the worst part of the move is over. Moving is totally exhausting, so I know you must be looking forward to when everything is finally done to your satisfaction and you can relax and revel in your new surroundings. That part is fun! Tell us all about it when you have time.

The fact that you did not GAIN weight to me seems like a miracle! When faced with the extreme stress brought about by moving house, you actually lost weight! Good job! And your total loss is looking pretty impressive! Keep up the good work, Colette!

A loss is a loss is a loss. You take the good, you take the bad (you take them both and there you have the facts of life, the facts of life...) But I digress. Any week with a loss is better than a week of status quo and a much better week than one with a gain. So smile that you lost 2 lbs during a week that didn't go well. If every week that doesn't go well results in a 2 lb loss, you'll be tougher and lighter at the end of the year!

Moving is a pain, no matter how much you plan for it.
Glad you have your kitchen is set up and ready to go.

And good for you on the loss, especially since it's probably been pretty stressful with the move and all.

Have a great rest of your week, Colette!

Way to go! Still having a net loss during a move is pretty amazing!

Yup, I fog up the glasses too! Works better if the mask has a wire that I can mold to the top of my nose, or fit it under the bottom edge of my glasses. Keeping trips out where it is necessary to wear a mask to a minimum also works! lol

Good that the kitchen is ready for groceries. This is a good time to pledge to keep the kitchen stocked with healthy only choices! You have still lost 26.4 pounds, so that is wonderful!
