"The inward journey is about finding your own fullness, something that no one else can take away." (Deepak Chopra)
Quarantine Day #149
Hello, my lovely friends!
The smoke and haze is heavy because we have several wild fires blazing right now. Some have been going on for a couple of weeks. The whole state is now in a drought and we desperately need some rain here. Hopefully Mother Nature will give us a break and send some rain our way soon.
Yesterday morning I woke up and my mom was up and getting ready. Scooter was excited! In the morning when I’m getting ready I think he pays attention to what I’m wearing and he figures out if I’m going somewhere or staying home. If I’m not in shorts he starts whining while I’m getting ready and that’s what he was doing yesterday. He really starts in once I put on my shoes. When he realizes he’s coming along he really starts barking and jumping up and down. I have to hold him when we’re leaving because he could get so excited that he’ll run in front of my mom and I don’t want her falling. It’s funny because once we get in the car he’s so quiet and relaxed.
I had to run into King Soopers (Kroger to some of you) grocery store that we normally go to when we go see my dad because I get the flowers there. I had to pick up a few things since I was in there and I was shocked. Everyone had masks on, but no distant between people. It really was a mess. I got what I needed and got out of there right away. I’m going to stick to my neighborhood Walmart market where everyone follows the rules. Seriously, what is wrong with people?
There’s no recipe blog this week. I didn’t make anything that was worthy of a recipe blog. I have to think of something to make for next week.
Be safe! BIG HUGS AND LOVES TO YOU ALL!!!
