reorganizing our house

Saturday, September 26, 2020

Last weekend, we decided to rearrange our house. The plan is to move my office into my husbands den. My office was a section of the workout room and we wanted to have the whole room to workout in.

We spent the whole weekend and got the new office set up. Hubby decided that he didn't like it so this weekend, we are fixing it. We also still had stuff to move and need some place to put it.

So far, we have spent all day working on it and have a lot left to do. Hubby moved everything from the closet out into the office. Now, I can't get to my desk and his desk is blocked also. We also got rid of a lot of stuff. We are going through everything and throwing out anything we don't or have not used in years. Like old magazines. Declutter to create space.

It is hard because there is some stuff that we want to keep since we are getting close to retirement plans. It is hobby type items. We know that once we retire (full or partial), we won't have as much spending funds as while we are working full time.

It's hard to let go, but master the stuff before it shackles you (note to self: practice what you preach!).

Decluttering is always difficult. Good luck with it!

Decluttering is nice, but make sure you are saving what you want to save. You'll end up purchasing it again later anyway!

This is the opportunity to think on these things emoticon We used to save things for our retirement years and her you are. Don't fret, just keep what you want and fix up your office, and make that a project of it's own, if needed. emoticon emoticon emoticon
