Off To Rio De Janeiro
Saturday, October 03, 2020
It is the first official week of the 2020 Fall 5% Challenge and we are flying to Rio De Janeiro. My bags are packed and I have weighed in.
Whenever I think about Rio De Janeiro this is the first thing that pops into my mind...if I were actually traveling there I know that it would be on my list of things to see.
While in Rio I will be practicing drinking my water

and if I decide to snack to be a smart snacker.
Now that the plane is inflight I have a few minutes to reflect upon the time I spent in Bar Harbor Maine.
While in Maine I tried my hand at making Challah Bread. My DH is Jewish and this past week was Yom Kippur. Due to Covid all activities were done via Zoom. The fast is usually broken with apples, Challah bread and honey so I thought it would normalize the holiday at least a little bit.
The recipe that was handed out sure did make a lot of bread...not too good for the waist line.
Then off the get ready for Autumn by setting out my yard decorations. Not that I have very many decorations but I find it amazing how just doing a little bit can change my mood. Of course I did have to spend time bringing some order to the flower beds before setting out the decorations which was very helpful since I made bread and ate bread.
I did have some trouble keeping track of all the good food that was available in Maine to eat. I can see that tracking is going to be a real challenge for me. By the end of the Fall Challenge I hope to make it more of a habit than it was during practice week.
