Stopping the Slide

Monday, October 12, 2020

Somehow I have drifted away from the habits that make weight loss work for least the ones that are harder for me. I am still getting my steps and exercising 6 days a week, but I have stopped tracking, stopped planning my meals for the week ahead and started eating small "extra" snacks. And no surprise, it is showing on the scale. So...before I gain any more it is time to STOP. Today I am getting back to the routine that got me this far. I will remember my "why" and be thankful for the results of the work I have already put in. Back on track!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Cdn friends!

Same with me. I was doing well for about the last 6 weeks or so, losing a pound a week, but I gained a pound this week. I've allowed myself to start snacking some evenings, which I wasn't doing before, and going over my calorie goals most days. Starting today, I will eat more mindfully.

I have to remember how good it felt when I was on track and how that good feeling was much better than the momentary pleasure I got from the extra food.

Take care. We can do it, one day at a time, one decision at a time.
