I CALLED MY DAUGHTER YESTERDAY TO SHARE MY FEELING ABOUT THE DEATH OF MY COUSIN AND EXPECTED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT FROM HER. INSTEAD I GOT THE TALK THAT WHAT I FEEL IS DIFFERENT FOR OTHERS. I CANT EXPECT EVERYONE TO BE SAD ABOUT HER DEATH EVEN HER BROTHER WHO DIDNT COME TO HER MASS OR BURIAL. SHE REMINDED ME EVEN THOUGH MY SISTER AND I PUT FLOWERS ON GRAVES SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR THEIR ARE THOSE WHO DONT AND WONT. I AM FOLLOWING MY MOTHERS TRADITIONS AND JUST CANT STOP AND GO WITH 2020 LIFE AND JUST FORGET WHO I AM I AM OLD SCHOOL AND CANNOT CHANGE SO MY THOUGHTS ARE DONT CALL FOR SYMPATHY THEY DONT GET IT

Sorry about your cousin. Your feelings and traditions are who you are; being caring and compassionate is never the wrong choice.

I put flowers on my parents' grave yesterday. Doesnt make us old school. It is kind and respectful to remember those who died. We all grieve and remember in our own ways. Adult children can be harsh with their comments. I can remember doing the same.
