Did a bit of that today and went back to some things that help me dodge those landmines:
1) Boiled eggs, peeled and refrigerated (ready for high protein snack on the run if needed),
2) Sugar-free Jello made (when I need to confuse the sweet tooth), and
3) Overnight oatmeal made.
I've already gotten plenty of good fruits and veggies to incorporate throughout the meals. That's always the first step in getting my head right. I've discovered that eating the recommended fruits and veggies usually keeps me from hunger pangs.
It's funny how easily we can forget about the tried and true habits that have fallen to the wayside. It is, of course, always more difficult when out of my own home, but I am grateful for these last few weeks here with my friend where life is more normal. Sometimes it's the little things that keep us from being tripped up.
