Accept life as it comes

As much as I plan and organize, I have learned to accept life
as it comes. Each person I work with has their own schedule,
their own list of things to do and I am blessed when I get a slice
of their time.
Yesterday the contractor came to pour concrete in the barn where
the laying hens occupy. I knew he was coming but his timing was
different than mine, I had to leave work to chase the chickens
outside and lock the doors. I did not have my chore shoes on and
so my work shoes were filthy. I wore my dress shoes to the office.
At night, we had to chase those poor chickens back inside when
the concrete had dried enough for them to be inside, They were
cold and confused to be chased in the dark. Today the other contractor
comes to replace the fence on their yard. They must stay locked
inside. It is still cold but they will be inside and sheltered from the wind.
Be thankful when those around you share a slice of their time with you
and blessings on your day!
