My Black Friday isn’t
Friday, November 27, 2020
No dashing out the door in the dark for me; there’s nothing I want/need badly enough to take my chances. Instead, I’m sitting in my favorite comfy chair drinking coffee with a big purring cat in my lap. This part of Black Friday is a rich cozy coffee brown.
Before I put it away, I’ll savor my shades of orange fall decor and give thanks for yesterday. Here’s dinner ready to roll. The green stuff is my MIL’s Bishop salad, jello, pineapple, cottage cheese, and mayo, light and sugar free. My real dining room table has been my sewing station since March. It actually felt good to eat at our table for two instead of at the bigger table with empty places.
Our zoom visit with daughters is the color of love. We got a tour of D2’s new home, and everyone’s cats put in an appearance. Husband showed them his work in process deck project.
Our Florida color today is purple, the color of an orchid that decided to bloom for Thanksgiving. We have a collection hanging from the mango tree in the backyard. This particular one looks exactly like the SP goodie pic.
The day will transition to Christmas colors as I swap out fall decor for winter and Christmas. As I did with my fall decorations, I’ll clean and clean out as I go. I already put out a few things that used to decorate my office.
Whatever color your Black Friday is, stay safe.
