Wonderful thanksgiving dinner

good morning - I wrote a great blog but lost it when I stopped and took the time to talk with DH. He is in a very upbeat mood. He discussed how he felt about cooking yesterday and our future travels. It was a wonderful talk - this is like the way we used to be b/4 his retirement and COVID. He is relaxing in getting his sea legs with retirement. He has been angry about retirement and the isolation of COVID. I am glad he can express himself calmly and hope it sticks. I see tremendous hope.
Thanksgiving dinner was marvelous. DH was organized. Everything cooked faster than he planned and this got him upset, but he handled his emotions. I saw him step back and just readjust his thinking. I did not say anything. I did come to his aid when asked. I actually got 6000 steps during the day going back and forth from the kitchen. I knew this would happen. I planned for it. When I was in the other room, I would meditate to allow me to handle whatever came my way in a respectful, joyous, and calm manner. The food was much too much. It was tasty - we have lots of leftovers. Before we ate we expressed what we were thankful for. This is a tradition in our house. I had a wonderful dinner during COVID. This will be a dinner to remember. Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday, too. I did!
