Hiking with Friend
Monday, January 11, 2021
I hiked three times last week with my friend Hanne. She was out of quarantine on Monday, and she was eager to get out on the trails. She self quarantined after traveling to visit her son for Christmas. ( She did not think she had been exposed to the virus; but people were ignoring social distancing in the big city and she felt it was very unsafe)
We hiked the whiskey ridge trail, it was beautiful as always.

We returned to try a new trail, which turned out to be a lot of fun. The first time we went up and back on the same trail, through a meadow with spectacular views.
We went back the next day to hike the meadow trail, connecting it with another new trail to create a loop. Hanne and I were joined by her DH Don, and our friend Barbara.
I am glad we were able to hike so much last week. The storm is moving in tonight. My project for today is to rake up leaves and Pineneedles; it is an endless job here in central Oregon! But it is much easier to do before everything gets wet, or covered in ice.
