New Plan

Wednesday, February 24, 2021

I may have told you that I had started using the noom app. I like it b/c it has a paced program for uncovering the psychology behind why a person overheats. I decided though that I needed to keep using spark people as well because I like the calorie tracking system. It is easier for me to use. Plus, this is where my friends are. I think at this point in my life I really need as much help as I can get. I've cut my calories way back and have not lost weight. I think the major part of the problem is the meniscus tear in my knee because I am so inactive. Each time I step on that leg I am in pain. So right now two apps may be better than one.

I was told I have osteoarthritis in my knee when I twisted it painfully last March. Now that I've read about your issue on the mayo clinic site, I may have had that. I am walking better finally, but stairs are really difficult.

I have had both of my knees completely replaced. Before the first knee surgery my doctor had me go the physical therapy. It helped me greatly and wish I had done the same with the second surgery, because it took longer to get better. I was given knee exercises which I still do some of them because they help.
Have you been given certain exercises for your knee. I know knees can be painful. Sorry you are in pain and Best Wishes and Quick Healing.

I tore my meniscus almost two years ago. It still bothers me from time-to-time but I find stretches help a lot. I also walk 2 miles a day by using trekking poles. They help greatly in talking the pressure off my knee. When you heal a bit

You might be right. You might try some chair exercises. Another thought: for my torn meniscus, I went to PT. A lot of the exercises was done laying on my bed to strengthen muscles on my knee. A lot of those exercises were also good for lower back.
