Its almost spooky how the SP Reflections subject always seems to hit home. This a.m. on my way to the track, I was eating yogurt and steering with my elbows (as usual, LOL) when I turned a corner. My car sorta drifting into the oncoming lane and the driver heading towards me was none to happy. He threw his arms up in frustration and I gave him a few choice gestures and words of my own. How dare he? I thought then had to check myself cuz of the many instances of reacting exactly the same way. I pray that I may be more patient with: Myself, Others, and life in general. As much as I would like it to be, this world was not created to please me and every now and then you will come across people who may be challenging to deal with, but that's the beauty of mankind--our differences. I must learn to stop being so defensive and put myself in the other person's shoes and try to see things from their perspective and always remember the lesson of the paradigm shift: You never know what someone else is going through. Therefore, be empathetic and courteous giving them the benefit of the doubt. God will protect you from those who truly mean you wrong.
