I especially appreciate the many articles about weight loss and how to keep off the excess weight! Sat, 22 Jun 2019 18:55:52 EST Limiting sugar = Weight Loss I have made changes in the amount of sugar I consume. Sugar is everywhere, as we all know! I'm not one of those people who can have NO SUGAR 100%. If I deprive myself, then I want it more than ever. My biggest strategy was to eat fresh fruit when I wanted sugar.

I've been carrying my last pesky 15-20 pounds for so many years now. I started being very mindful of sugar consumption, logging everything I ate and here I am ... 4 pounds from my goal weight. I haven't weighed this little ... Tue, 14 May 2019 19:39:36 EST exercise Yesterday I didn't get much exercise in. I was wondering if practicing in the choir for a half hour would be exercise. Today I made up for it. Got more exercise in. Mon, 13 May 2019 18:38:28 EST Skipped the gym, not the workout! I just couldn't drag my butt out of bed this AM, so I forced myself (it required a serious pep talk!) to do an at home cardio workout this evening! Yey me! So, I went in my bedroom and took out all the capris and pants that didn't fit before (5 pairs of capris and a pair of pants, excluding the "fat"jeans, hich I also took out).

I tried on all of the clothes except the "fat" jeans (size 22W) which I wore at my highest weight. ALL of the capris and the pai... Tue, 26 Mar 2019 13:52:26 EST Exercise Success My major source of exercise is walking. Sometimes, if the weather is bad, or if the hour is too late, all I can manage is 10 minutes pacing up and down my upstairs hall, And sometimes that has to be good enough for that day. But today I had a better plan: I had an appointment about a half mile away from my house. Instead of hassling with driving the car and finding parking. I made a plan last night to walk to and from the appointment. Now, it's easy for me to find an excuse not to exerc... Sat, 9 Feb 2019 19:27:40 EST A happy success My husband and I just finished a very nice 15 day cruise to and from Hawaii.... and I was worried about backsliding on my eating plans and gaining back hard lost pounds. But.... when I weighed the day after we got home, I found I'd actually lost one pound during that time. The buffet lost. I was religious about planning what to eat, not grabbing convenient snacks all the time, walking on the deck on sea days, and most of all, being careful of portion sizes. Mon, 14 Jan 2019 11:04:11 EST My Wawa Woohoo Wawa is a stop that I often make because I travel a lot during my work day from client to client. I like to pick up coffee and tea, and before my regular Sparking, I would grab all kinds of junk food. Popcorn, chips, ice cream, candy bars. I'm so proud to say that for the last month I have completely broken this habit! I still stop in 2-3 times a week, but it's only to get a drink, or maybe a protein bar or yogurt. Kinda' It's really a non scale victory, but it does involve weight. DW and I went shopping last week and bought a couple twenty pound bags of bird seed, the kind with handles. She thought I was whining about my back again and willingly grabbed them and put them where I told her to. When done, I went and grabbed them and put them where I really wanted them to go.
