Hi! I just joined this team and am planning on streaking calories and walk minutes starting Sunday.

Hello - I'm Karen from San Antonio, also known as KD. I'm on several other teams that don't quite fit, and I do like to do a check in so no time like the present.

I'm currently eating No S (modified as fits my life) and it's pretty easy, although I'm not losing quickly. Which is still okay as long as I'm going in the right direction.

I live in Texas, have two boys (22 and 24) and a husband with diabetes. My husband is contemplating bariatric gastric sleeve surgery, and I know I never want to be in that position, so I'm really motivated to get the weight off and help him too.

Hi, all! I'm Heather. I just recommitted to exercise and taking healthy steps to lose weight and feel better. I love daily checkins to keep accountable, so this seems like a great fit for me. :-) Looking forward to getting to know people and making this journey together.

I have just blogged in detail but to quickly introduce myself. I am on the NoS Diet, am binge free and intend to stay that way, and am waiting for the Beck Diet for Life (green book) to come.

Hi I am just starting out on the No S Diet. Been doing it a week and lost a pound so far. But am still reading the book and learning.

It just dawned on me the importance of habit in this non-diet way of losing weight. So I am here to track my success at sticking to a new habit of No Snacks/Sweets/Seconds except sometimes on S Days (Saturdays, Sundays and Special days)

Except that while I am building this habit, until the end of September at least, I want to not have any special days. So I eat with restrictions Monday to Friday but not Saturday/Sunday. It's really simple. It's habit. So I'm here to build habit!

I think this is a common struggle, but we can do this! It is a matter of not dieting, but changing our habits so it is a lifestyle instead of for a short term goal.

Hello! I am Neeta and I have been on Spark People for several years now. I keep losing and regaining the same 20 pounds. I seem to self sabotage once I get near 250 pounds. I honestly don't remember the last time I was under 250 probably 10 years ago.

Hello! My name is Pam and I have been a member of SP for several years now.... I have lost 9 pounds, and am looking forward to losing those last 10 pounds by June 1st, the start of swimsuit weather here in Michigan. I find that keeping track of my calories, fat and carbs has been the most helpful with losing weight. Streaking is a good way to stay accountable to tracking and staying active on SP. I am looking forward to joining others in their streaking challenges. I am going to move over to the streaking challenge and keep up the weight loss!

Hi! I am in my second week of WeightWatchers, and walking is my main exercise (although I am trying to find something different to add in to my routine). I have found that streaking things is so helpful in keeping me focused, so I thought I'd join this team. I am currently streaking 3 pints (6 cups) of water a day - only made it to 2 days so far! And a weekly loss of 1 pound a week. And 10 minutes exercise daily (up to 8 days!). I'm on 32 ww points/day so I could start streaking that...

There aren't any extra challenges other than the streaking - but that in and of itself is a challenge. It is a challenge for me to keep up with logging everything - but it is also the best way to see where you are at over a period of time and see what you need to adjust to reach your goals.

Hi everyone!!

I have become a HUGE fan of streaking since I learned about it from SP. Right now, I am streaking for 15 minutes of continuous, conscious working out every day (hit 31 today!). I know that the idea behind a streak is what is motivating me to push on towards my ultimate weight loss goals. Therefore, I am truly grateful to find like-minded people, and to become part of your team!

I am still looking around the team page, but I haven't yet stumbled upon any challenges besides streaking. Does this team conduct any workout challenges; daily, weekly, or even monthly? If so, please point me in that direction :) Thanks!

Hi, my name is Susan, and I will celebrate my 2 year SparkVersary on July 12th. I LOVE SPARKPEOPLE!

I maintained my 63# weight loss for almost a year and then started having major challenges. I've been struggling now for about 4 months and have put on a few pounds. I'm about 7#'s from normal BMI. I'm weighing every 10 days, and I'm excited to do this challenge to help me get back on track.

Hi Caroline! Nice to see you here. This is a small team but it has helped me to build consistency. Did you find the "track and talk" thread? That is where most of the activity is.

I have been looking for a team like this...I need a team that streaks.

I am Caroline, 64, and so it is a little harder for me to lose being older.
I am not moving as much as I should.
I cannot seem to find a plan that works with me. If I could I would stick with it.
I have not been overweight all my life...just when menopause hit.

It might take me a day or two to figure this team out, but I think I can benefit by being here.

I started 6 years ago and I lost 60 pounds in Spark People. During some years I maintain my weight and try to lose the last 16 pounds but I never managed to lose them. Instead I ended up putting 36 pounds back on.

Last year with the support of a nutritionist I had been very close to my goal before Christmas I reached 148 lb (67 Kg) but between birthdays and Christmas events I put on weight back again.

Now I'm back on Spark People to loose the last 16 lb to reach my goal 143 lb (65 Kg).

I met Hillary and Cruisepuppy before in SP.Cruisepuppy have encouraged me to join again and I'm happy to be back with you again to reach our goals for good.

Back again for the final success for good.

Hello everyone! I am brand spanking new to this. Well, that's not strictly true. I participated in Spark People some time back, but it's been so long ago that I've forgotten how to get around. My friend, CRUISEPUPPY, encouraged me to join....and here I am!

Yes, in my Biggest Loser Challenges we say Participation vs. perfection...I like the progression word and will mention it when we start up in Jan.

I'll post much more in the tracking thread, but I am SO PROUD to say the not only did I track 2 days in a row...I cut on my intake dudring the day to splurge tonight and without knowing ahead of time--I came in 15 calories under the top of my limit. I counted everything from the salad dressing to the whip cream on the sundae (No added sugar hot-fudge).

Proved to myself that it doesn't matter when you start, as long as you start and then stick with it!

Hi, Jodie - it's great to meet you and I'm SO happy you've joined our little group of streakers! I can so relate to the food tracking...it's my weakness, too. It seems easier to put in a 30 minute walk and be done, than to stick with tracking the food all day long. So, I'm also trying to be better about planning ahead and keeping my calories in range.

We are in it for the long haul here, and one of our favorite sayings it that it's not about perfection, it's about progression. Overtime, we'll reach our goals and the tracking/accountability we do here really works if you stick with it! So, WELCOME and I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

Hello, My name is Jodie. I 've been a Christian for 20 years as of 11/1/11. I met my wonderful husband at church and we've been married for 16 years. Our beautiful (inside & out) daughter, Grace, is 13 years old.

I made my commitment to a healthier lifestyle on 2/23/11 (my "Facing Myself" blog has all the details) and joined SparkPeople the next day. That was 9 months, 27 pounds, and overall loss of 35 inches ago (that equals my height up to my waist : ).

I am OK at tracking my daily exercise but misreable at tracking my food. I know I can be far more healthier if I monitor what is going in and not just focusing on actiivity alone. I know am capable of streaking because I am currently on Day 81 of exercising a minimun of 20 min.a day for 6-7 days a week (started 9/7/11).

RUNNINGOMA directed me to this site when I mentioned that I need assistance in nutrition tracking. I will soon be involved in several overlapping challenge programs and this one looks perfectly complimentary & suited for me. Looking forward to meeting & working with everyone here.

Hi! I am Mona and I see several familiar faces here. I have been a member of Spark (actively) for starting my third year in January. I reached -95 pounds and decided to "try" some new things. Well +30 pounds later I am getting back to basics. Couldn't wait for January as I figured it would be +40 by then.

Tracking has always been a key for me so I am looking forward to being a part of the team!!

I took a look at your Sparkpage, and you and I have a lot in common. I think you'll be a perfect fit on our team and I hope we will be an encouragement to YOU.

Being on a streak doesn't mean you must become perfect, but just that you are giving some thought everyday to the basics that help the weight come off and promote good health. The more you hit them, the more the weight will budge and pretty soon, thinking about them becomes a habit and a lifestyle. And yes...you can adjust the categories however your like to acheive your goals...if you want to post your steps, that's great!

Hi, I am Lee. I have been on SP for a few years and really got serious in 2009 losing 25#. I have kept it off, but have lost my motivation. I have been looking for a team where I can track daily actions and be accountable to others and I have found it! I like the simplicity of this team as I need to limit my computer time. I will review the intro again and get started within a few days (DH having cataract surgery today). My plan fits well within the team tracking: log my food, stay within SP calorie range, walk 20 - 30 minutes most days and increase overall steps each month. It will be good for me to increase water and freggies as well! I would like to add my daily steps or miles (per pedometer) to my tracking if that is ok. I am looking forward to getting to know you all better.

I married my high school sweetheart, too...34 yrs ago...and we had two little boys that are grown now, but seems like yesterday they were 5 like yours is. It sounds like you have a very blessed life - that's a treasure! I do, too, but the ONE thing I've always wanted that I can't seem to get is the weight loss, yet I know that is the ONE thing I CAN do something about, so that's why I'm here. I will never give up, no matter how long it takes!

Good luck to you - please start posting on the 'track and talk' thread now and feel free to ask questions. You can 'copy and paste' my chart there, then just fill in your own numbers. From then on, just copy and paste your own from day to day. When you get on a roll, it's fun to see the weight start coming down over time!

Hello everyone, I started my weight loss June 2010 with weight watchers. I was successful in losing 14lbs. During Christmas I gained 3 or 4 lbs and knew I needed to do something. I then join a Biggest Loosers for 8 wks, I lost 6.8lbs mostly repeat lbs, so I was mostly excited that I finish the contest and this has spring boarded me here. I have made a week's worth of menus of meals that have worked for me, complete with a shopping list. My goals are: To make a month's worth of menus, loose 1 lb a week, loose a total of 8 lbs by May 31, exercise cardio 30min., strength 10 min., water 8 glasses a day, WW points 26, fruits and vegetable 5.

Welcome, Hero! I'm looking forward to getting to know you and working together to reach our goals! I can so relate to your dilema of losing steam after a week or so - I think that is pretty typical to the human race and why most people struggle with weight loss. It really takes a long term commitment to a lifestyle change. That's why I find this streak helpful - it focuses on a string of days - making that string as LONG as you can and seeing your momentum and progress build with time. The people in the past who I've seen stick with it for 100 days, usually have lost 15 - 20 pounds! So, jump right in to the Track and Talk Thread and start your journey with us! Hi, there! I am just joining this team today, though I've been a member of SP for quite a while. I find that I stick with it for a week or two, and then I lose steam. It's always for different reasons, but the results are the same...I either come to a standstill or gain back everything I've lost. With the weather getting nicer out now, I'm ready to make a change! My favorite kind of exercise is walking outside. I'm not the best cook, and my husband loves his junk food. I have become very lazy over the last several years and really want to change that. I know it's up to me, though. No one else can do it for me. I am looking for support along the way and am always willing to give support as well!

Hi everyone!! I'm maddie and I live in Kansas. No I don't live on a farm or have a dog named Toto ;) But I am new to spark people and this team looked like it would be a good fit. I am 18 and am just about to finish high school and I would like to get fit before college. I don't have too much to lose, just about 20 pounds, but it's a significant amount to me. I'm so happy to finally find a team!

Jenny - It's great to have you here! We have so much in common! I was a stay at home mom, too...and homeschooled both my boys. One from 2nd - 8th grade, and the other all the way from K - 12! And, scrapbooking is my hobby, too...I've been doing it for years now, love it! We have a very similar amount of weight to lose, too...I'd be thrilled with 30-40 pounds. I know you can do this; I'm looking forward to working together and watching us both reach our goal!

Hello team members! I am 35, married to a wonderful husband/father we have 3 girls who are 13, 10, 6. I am a SAHM and we home school our girls. My favorite hobby is scrapebooking and I also have a side business of making/selling specialty cakes for Birthdays mainly. I am new to this team, but not to the journey of weight loss. I started about 7 years ago when I noticed some health issues and decided that I had to get my weigh under control. I lost 60 pounds and have kept it off. I do still have 30-40 more to go and have been thankful to Spark for keeping me motivated. This site has so many wonderful tools and people:)

I am taking it one day at a time, and this streak team is a great way to do it! I am excited to weigh in once a month as I have become lets say... addicted to the scale, and I don't want to attach success to a number, but on progress in the right direction with good habits and long term goals. Life happens, and I want to live it the healthiest I can and forgive myself when a bad day comes around so I can get back up quickly instead of being angry at myself and eating through the failure:)

Hello!

My journey started 6 years ago when I lost 70+ pounds before joining Spark People. After a year of maintaining my weight I was still looking to lose the last 10 pounds. I never managed to lose them. Instead I became frustrated and ended up putting 45 pounds back on.

I have used the "Streak to Success Challenge" before and had wonderful results. Consistency is key! I hope to streak my way to my goal this time and lose 50+ pounds forever!

Linda - it's great to see you again! Congratulations on losing so much since June! It will be fun to work with you again and watch you take it back down to your goal!

Hi, CruisePuppy! I was on a few "streaks" in the fall during your long run on the "Message Boards" (and a few streaks on that thread probably nearly five years ago, too). I look forward to it now being a SparkTeam challenge!

I have gone up and down with my weight, last time successfully losing forty-five pounds with SparkPeople and meeting my goal of 127 pounds.

Well, I started back with SparkPeople in June 2010 at 167 pounds and now at 142 and 25 pounds lost I am a bit past half way of returning to my goal weight of 127 pounds.

This challenge has helped me in the past and I look forward to it helping me on the balance of my weight loss journey.

Hi - I am 54 yrs old and happily married to my high school sweetheart, Mark. We are 'empty-nesters' now with two grown sons, and my current 'baby' is a little Shihtzu, Molly. I work as an administrative assistant 3 days a week and really like my job.

I have 50 pounds to lose - I initially lost 36 pounds in my first couple years here on Sparkpeople, then gained back 25 after a back injury. I really want to get back on a good streak and take it all the way to my goal this time!
