Just remember that you can't claim that you have failed until you have stopped trying. Well - it looks like you are trying your weight loss journey again, so you can't say that you have failed in your weight loss goals quite yet! :)

That is okay. I need to lose 70 pounds myself but I am taking it slow. I did not gain the weight overnight, therefore I will not lose it overnight. I don't get depressed about it because I am a work in progress. I have been eating healthier, drinking more water, and exercising 3-4 times a week. I am actually enjoying myself. There are great people on SparkPeople who are very motivating. Join some of the teams and don't forget to set up a sparkpage. Good luck in your weight loss journey...

Welcome! Make lots of mini goals, don't tie all of them to the scale and celebrate each success. You can celebrate small losses of every 5-10 pounds, when you can fit back into certain items of smaller clothes that may be hanging around your closet, and exercise goals (start small!).

Hi everyone,
Joining Spark People is new for me. I have tried to loose weight countless times. Some times I succeed but mostly get discouraged, fail and fall right back into the rut of indulgence. I have a LOT of weight I need to loose and as many people looking for a quick fix. I know it doesn't exist but thinking of how long it will take me to loose 70 lbs is a bit depressing.
