This week I plan to focus on eating less and moving more. I have been doing Leslie Sansone's walk workouts, but also challenging myself with new HIIT workouts and other walk workouts using weights. I've been drinking plenty of water too. I hope I can get my weight to continue to move in the right direction. All this week smile and believe in yourself.

I had a Fitbit Charge2 for many years and while it did an okay job. Unless you flapped your arms around like a bird all the time it would not count MANY of your steps. I am not convinced yet the SMART fitness watches are superior.

Val - I have an Alta HR Fitbit. I am not sure how accurate it is with my sleep hours. Sometimes I am laying very still but not asleep and it seems to think I am asleep. When I am exercising, it does not count anything as exercise that does not require me to use my hands - like the bike.

@MDSCOORD what do you currently use to keep track of your daily steps? I got a Fitbit Versa lite for Christmas which I have not used much yet so far. I mostly ride my recumbent bike every day. I am hoping to go back to the gym in Feb and kick things into gear. I have arthritis in both my knees pretty bad so I understand how that goes. I get cortisone shots every 3 months but even that doesn't help too much. I did start taking something that helps me which is Osteo Bi-Flex® Triple Strength w/ MSM.

My goal is to remain as independent as possible. There are days that my arthritis does not allow me to do everything I want to do but I do the best I can. I have been getting at least 5000 steps per day but would like to increase it to 6000. Today was a good day so I did get almost 8000 steps but that is not usual. I try to go to the gym at least 3 days a week and lift weights for my upper arms and do the recumbent bike for my lower extremities.

My goals in 2020 are to hit my 1st big milestone of losing a total of 100 pounds. I have struggled so much in 2019 with many different areas of my life and I started out in 2020 with doing something each day no matter how small. Currently, I aim to at bare minimum to ride my recumbent bike 1 mile per day. I am hoping to go back to the gym in Feb to really work on strength training and resume weight lifting again.
