Finished week 1 Cardio Sculpt yesterday evening and this morning weighed in 2+ lbs. down. I'm really liking the food program meal suggestions. I don't feel deprived or hungry which I love. Hope everyone else is doing well too!

FITFORLIFE25 that is a good question. I don't know. I adjusted my HRM to the instructions it stated when my hubby got me my HRM for Mother's Day.

TODAY is Week 1, Day 3 - Ignite - Cardio/Sculpt. Will do it after all my dr appts this afternoon when I get home and AFTER I finish doing what I need to with my sister to get the last minute things for DIL's babyshower on the 22nd. I like to get things early and not have to worry about them later, if you know what I mean.

Like many of you I just finished cardio Ignite - my heart rate was way up throughout the workout......recovery only brought it down a few beats:0 Oh my. What is the max heart rate for a 47 year old?

Effort is not to be avoided; It is to be sought out.

Had to work 12 hrs yesterday, but I did get a chance to do Week 1 Cardio today. Yay! Still sweating as I type this. My legs burn, but slowly returning to normal sensation. Hehehe. I'll probably do Week 1 Cardio & Sculpt tomorrow with you ladies.

Keep it up! emoticon

I so totally hear ya on the coordination, I did the same workout you did. Week 1, Day 2 the Ignite - Cardio but I did sweat alot more than when I did the sculpt.

Today is REST DAY for me (I have to get used to all these rest days) I am one that used to workout 6 days a week. It was hard passing by the tennis courts and not going up there afte the Firm Express workout (but it says working out for more than once day hinders progress) and I want to follow this as planned b/c I want to see the results from just this, if you know what I mean.

Finished Week 1's 2nd workout, the cardio dvd. Still working on the coordination, but definitely was a good workout. I have been sore from the sculpt from Monday so now even more so. I'm glad though because it tells me that these must be good for me and for building lean muscle.

I will have to see how my knees do after tonight's workout which is Day 2 of Ignite - Cardio one. I reviewed the tape last night and it looks tough and fast. I do know several of the moves already b/c they are a combination of several exercises in other exercise DVDs I have used in the past. I so agree with you on the part where at the beginning they should tell you what you will need for that certain part of the DVD (most exercise videos do but these don't weird). I look forward to sweating my butt off soon with the rest of them b/c the first one Ignite Sculpt I barely sweated, but then again I am used to working out for an hour to 1 1/2 hours sweating like crazy and I am hoping 20 mins will do the trick, which is great for me b/c I am so busy that 20 mins is AWESOME.

I will be doing Week 1, Day 2 - Ignite - Cardio as soon as I get home from work (I always blog about my workouts, if anyone is interested in checking them out).

Have a great day.

I agree. The moves go so quickly, it is hard to get it down. I have found that these workouts are definitely not for someone with bad knees (which I have). I'm muddling through them. I wish that the DVD's would tell you whether or not you need weights and how many sets of them, BEFORE you are already into it and don't have what you need.

I just finished my last workout of day 3 for the 4 Day Kickstart. The best part is that the workouts are only 20 minutes each and you sweat your butt off!

Kick Start I think if I read correctly is just to Kick Start it off before you start the actual program, if I read that correctly. I was so lost on the moves on the first one, especially since I am NEW to Firm workouts, I wish they had an extra video just outlining showing you the actual moves and correct forms, as I think I might have tweeked my knee just a bit. :(

SOKKERNUT- Great idea. I watched it right before I worked out yesterday and still felt lost without any directions on the proper moves.

Taking a rest day today as well, but thinking about throwing the Kick Start Your Metabolism dvd in the mix. I'm doing the normal plan and wondering where that dvd fits in all this. Is it mainly for the 4-day plan?

Week 1, Day 1 - Ignite - Sculpt
Need to review the workouts the night before as there is no direction or proper time given to learn the move, as they move through it so quickly.

Rest Day
I am following their workout schedule and taking the specified rest days as in their book Under Rest Day 7 it states that working out more than 7 days a week or twice a day can hinder your progress and maybe this is what is wrong and why the scale won't budge.

I also just did the week 1 sculpt for the first time today. I need to watch it a few more times and practice some of the moves so I can keep up better, but definitely a good, quick workout. I'm liking their meal plan so far also!

Hi - I'm starting the Firm Express with my first workout tomorrow. I'm just following the standard 4 week plan and also following the given food (mostly as it doesn't have eating out options). I took my measurements and weight today and can't wait to see what results I get. You are welcome to friend me on here if you want a buddy to help with accountability. I can use all the help I can get!

I'm looking for other people just starting with FirmExpress. I just did my first workout this morning and thought I was going to die! I did the Ignite Cardio and the Kickstart Your Metabolism. I am starting with the 4 day kickstart program and then will follow the regular 4 week program. Anyone with me? I'm the kind that needs to be held accountable and we can help cheer each other on.

I had a 2 week break from working out recently and started back last Sunday. I am starting week 4 today, but I am also rotating with other strength training workouts. I consider myself an intermediate/advanced exerciser and these workouts are tough and keep my HR up the whole time. I love them.... Good luck to everyone, it's great to see how you all are sticking with it and seeing results. Keep up the good work. ~ Dee emoticon

I purchased the Firm express about a month ago and got through the first disc, and then I moved onto the Elliptical. I'm starting again with the first disc and hoping to get through the whole four weeks. I wish everyone luck.

I feel great, a little hungry but i have been compensating with the free foods list. I feel motivated and i really enjoyed the first two days. hopefully i will see some results at the end of the 4 days. Even if it is just a 1lb or a burst of energy and confidence!!! Good luck to everyone, i look forward to seeing how we all do :-)

Hi! I purchased the Firm Express awhile ago but started using it this week. I can't get all the way through Week 1, Disc 1, so I am going to work my way through it and then continue with the other discs.

Even though they go faster than I'm used to, I do enjoy the leaders and the workout.

I did Turbocharge Cardio Blast last night; it was tons of fun and burned 258 calories in 20 minutes!! I love this one.

I'm picking them up individually (well actually 2-packs) as they release them that way. So far I've got the first two sets. Ignite is the first disk; the second is Turbocharge, but they're FE workouts.

I got my FE in yesterday and did my first day workout. Ignite Sculpt. I am definately feeling it today. I am sore in all the right spots. I knew I am out of shape and that is why I bought this. Let's just see how good it works for me :-)

Did my second FE workout Ignite Cardio today. It wasn't as hard as the first. I believe I can actually do this workout. I just have to set my mind to it. I enjoy TFE. It is a fun workout.

I didn't think I was this much out of shape. I am on week two of FE workouts. These Firm ladies are kicking my butt! I don't know if it's the massive amounts of lunges and squats for not but I am sore in all the right spots. I haven't lost as much weight as I thought but I am losing inches which is more important to me.

I appreciate seeing all the different rotations that people have and where they got them from because I am new to this. Thanks everyone.

I'm having a lot of trouble with the transitions... it seems with only 20 minutes to do the workout in the routines change from move to move to fast for me.... and sneaker don't pivot on carpet. urrggg. I'm thinking I'm better off with the longer workouts.

Not to mention since I've been doing them my lower back and hips have gotten worse and worse... back to the chiropractor .... wondering if all the quick lunges and high impact aerobics are the cause...... anyone else have problems.... ????

I'm thinking I may need to go back to walking and a couple days doing sculpting routines.

I just got the firm express. SOOOO excited to do them. Today is my first day!

Is there anyone here who stuck to the schedule - 3 work outs a week - and lost weight?

If not, should I start Beginner 2?

Thank you!

The beginner rotation in included with the program, and I got the beginner 2 rotation from The Firm Facebook page. Here's a copy of Beginner 2:

This rotation is designed to be a bridge between The FIRM Express Beginner and Intermediate Rotations. If you find that the Beginner Rotation is not challenging enough, but you aren't quite ready for the Intermediate Rotation, give this rotation a try.

In addition to the below, you have the option of adding Pump It Up and/or Shortcut to Flat Abs (from the Kick Start Your Metabolism DVD) on one or two days each week. Be sure, however, to take at least one full rest day per week to ensure that your body gets enough recovery time to give you the best results. Also remember to listen to your body: if you find the below challenging enough, don't add Pump It Up or Shortcut to Flat Abs until your fitness level improves.

I started Firm Express this week and have lost 2 pounds since Saturday! I'll be weighing once a week going forward, so we'll see what happens when I have a full week. I'm doing the Beginner 2 rotation and I think that's just where I need to be for now, since I can't imagine just working out 3 days a week. I so hope this will help me recover from my vacation eating and bump me off the plateau I've been on for so very long despite my best efforts. What results is everyone else seeing?

I lost 5 inches but not weight doing the Fast Track four day plan. From those of you that are doing it and eating healthy did you lose the 15 pounds in 30 days like it said?

I tried to do two videos back to back and I couldn't do it. I think I need to spread them out one in the morning and one in the pm.

I have 50 pounds to lose and I hope that these videos help to do the trick because for some reason running isn't doing it.

I purchased the Ignite Cardio Burn which includes Cardio Power Blast by Emily and Interval Blast by Rebekah. I've also pre-ordered Turbocharge Weight Loss which includes Burn and Firm with Emily and Cardio Blast with Alison. I haven't quite budgeted the entire FE system yet.

My question to you FE users... How are the above workouts classified? Cardio Power Blast & Interval Blast seem to be either C or C+S, but I'm not sure. As for Burn and Firm and Cardio Blast, I haven't done them yet, so I have no idea.

Thanks!

Finished the FE on Friday did my weight and measurements yesterday. I am a little disappointed with my outcome. I lost 5lbs and 9 inches overall. Besides doing FE I was using my stationary bike every day for a half hr. So I'm starting it all over again and we'll see what happens in this 4 weeks.

I've never been a big fan of Emily; her transitions are usually awkward and it appears she makes her workouts easier for short people. But Rebekah's workout is loads of fun! Her cueing is better, too.

Doing my best...one day at a time.
