What is wrong with your arm Georgia? Sorry it's not busy for you.

Susan, good news about your friend. You are so kind to let her stay
with you.

I have never tried pottery. My ex did and he made some beautiful pottery
but at the beginning some were not perfect, but we kept them anyhow.

I was still feeling shivery and cold and coughed
a little last night, so I went to get the Covid test today. I hyperventilated
with the mask on and couldn't get it off fast enough when I went outside.
I have to self isolate for up to 72 hours till I get the test results. If I am
negative, I will get a text message, or a phone call if I am positive.

Oh Susan you would have laughed at the placement of one stamp I had it upside down LOL

Glad your friend is out of hospital and it might be good to be close to others while she recovers.

It is quiet again at work. I do not like being idle when I think of all the things I could be doing.

Have a good night everyone.

Oh, I am invigorated by cooler weather so am happy it has returned, Georgia. Stay warm! Glad you got your new stamps to play with. It's fun to experiment and play. I still do that after all these years! Oh, I do hope the arm is going to be alright. Yes, Archie is behaving as his old doggie friend did not come over after all.

Anna, that's good that you found a place for your mask. I hope it is not too expensive but everything about sleep apnea treatment seems to be expensive. How long before you will have your mask?

Brenda, I have never tried pottery so go you. I think it is great to try new things, and it does take practise to master a new skill. I think I have heard the term Master Potter before? I think it is a skill that needs to be learned. It's great you have a pot as a result of your first efforts!

My friend was released from hospital the same day so we didn't have to look after her dog. She is calling me this afternoon and may come to stay with us. She's still not well but not in immediate danger, according to the Drs.

Brenda we all make craft things that are not quite right. I had one of those days yesterday but it is all about learning.
Use your creation as a quirky piece. A talking point.

Disappointing the bbq was not as successful as it could have been.

I am over the return of the cooler weather.

Have a good day.

Enjoyed my weekend. Sausage sizzle was disappointing for the organizers. They said they were happy and when they set the date did not realise long weekend and start of school holidays.
My pottery workshop was fun but I was disappointed with my pot. It is okay. I won't get it for a few weeks
I've been on ebay Christmas shopping

Susan hope your friend is ok and good luck with the dog.
Archie do behave for mummy.

I got my new stamps today so have been playing with them. One is no problem the other needs practice.

Anna it is a cold day today. Those winds are chilly. We have leftovers tonight so that is good.

Blood tests done and I have to get an irritation cut out of my arm at some stage. Just not ready yet.

Have a good day.

Thanks Susan. I have found a place in Ashmore so I will go
during the week to try getting a mask. I hope your friend will be OK.

Georgia, that stew sounds so good. I always buy the lamb bones at
Coles and there is actually quite a lot of meat and it does make
a great stew. Good that you made some cards as well.

I still feel a bit cold. Loving the Linden tea, (Tilio). Have a good week.

Anna, my GP referred me. I had to do the wiring at home too. I have been referred to Prince Charles Sleep Clinic by our GP too. They may not even see me, just tell Res Sleep I am eligible for discounts after phoning me. Yes, they say COVID scares make staying overnight in a Clinic too risky.

Georgia, glad you got to craft and cook. Enjoy your day and I hope the Dr appointment is just routine.

We are at the Dr's now for Col. Then we have to go get clothes and meds for a friend who got taken to hospital by ambulance from the Dr's surgery. And look after her dog. He's an old dog so that means super vigilance about puppy Archie who gets carried away with playing. Hope my friend is going to be OK. Her hubby goes in for heart surgery tomorrow and isn't allowed to drive. It's a different day to what I thought it would be.

Take care, all of you.

Susan I even made a few cards. A good day.

Anna I made a lamb stew. I got some off cuts of lamb and then threw in peas, corn, beans and a stock of french onion soup (half) and beef stock. It came out absolutely delicious and I made a damper to go side by side.

Today doctor appointments and then nothing planned.

I have had a strange 2 days. Had a runny nose and felt cold
all day. I was shivering. Took a couple of Panadol and put a jacket
on and into bed watching Wallander. Now I am on to Fargo.

Who referred you to the sleep clinicSusan? The sleep place I got
referred to was not impressive. They gave me a kit and i had to put
all the wires on myself. I am nor sure if I did everything right. 10 years ago
I went to a place where i actually stayed overnight and left early
the next morning. Medicare is sure doing a lot of cost cutting these days.

Georgia.I'm glad you had time to bake. What did you cook in the slow cooker?

Sounds like you had such a good day, Georgia! I love it when that happens for you. Glad you had a good sleep too.

Yes, sleep apnea machines are dear. And our health insurance pays nothing on them.

We had church this morning and a nap this afternoon. I found Buffalo chicken in the freezer for dinner. It was a nice day.

I must have a baking day one day this week too.

Wow, Anna. I am still in the process of getting a sleep apnea machine too. Have been referred to Prince Charles Sleep Clinic as that is a way to get a reduction in the cost. It would cost about $1600 more if I didn't do that.

Georgia, yes, I guess you will probably get rests in a phone call. I hope your day went well.

We visited friends today. The traffic on the Bruce was horrendous all day so we took the back way. My friend has been growing vegetables and she gave me lovely silverbeet, spinach, lettuce, Kohl Rabi, broccoli flower stems, lovage flowers and Brussels sprouts. So I cooked up loads of spinach and silverbeet this afternoon for freezing. Yum.

Brenda, yes I used to change tires too. Not so sure I would be able to these days. I love the sound of your chickens and the kids.

Going to community garden sausage sizzle tomorrow.
A friend visited with her 2 grandchildren and they enjoyed interacting with the hens. She is going to bring them again and I will wait to feed them so they can do it. They will take food from you. Girls after my own heart spend all their time looking for food.

Brenda, sounds lovely. It's so nice to think of you going to a community event.

Anna, yes, I think the weather must have something to do with our backs. I got through today without Panadol Osteo but am not sure it is over yet.

Had a quiet morning followed by an afternoon of driving Col to various car places He is installing a drawer in the Ute tray. With help. And Archie had to get groomed today. He looks adorable. Then I needed to pick up a couple of things form the grocery store even though we had groceries delivered this morning too. Glad I was walking more normally. I got us takeaway coffees at Coffee Club too. It was actually a pretty nice day, finished off with chicken wings in the air fryer and salad.

Sounds like a slightly better day for you both, Anna and Georgia, the long meeting aside.

My back is still quite painful. It is arthritis. I never know how long it will last. Will go to the Physio if it doesn't start easing soon. Maybe it is the sudden change in weather. I seem to be sensitive to that with asthma so why not with arthritis. Joy.

Anna I saw Con's car just and followed him and then caught up and waved to him.

It was a very long service and really tough on people who plan things.

Doing some laundry this morning and then after lunch the prep.

Glad that Col sold some things. Mood lifter is what he needed.
Sorry to hear your back is painful Susan. Mine is better as I am
taking some meds for it.

Georgia, the prep for that particular procedure is not as bad as it was
years ago. Good call to stay home. How is the shoulder?
It was good to catch up. The service went on and on and we all left.
Poor Deb was frantic as she had booked for 11 am. bishop was still
giving his logo when we left. The coliva just sat on the table until Con
went and asked for it. He took it and off we went. We were allowed to
stay till almost 12.45 so that was good. I lit a tea light candle at my dad's
and grandma and grandpa's too.

Con was kind enough to drive me home. Mum wasn't home, so I phoned
Chris and no answer, so I asked Con if he would mind taking me to
the church to wait for you. As we got to Mick's, I saw you turning into
Hardgrave Rd. Chris answered in the meantime so he drove me there.
Spent an hour there, back to mum's to have dinner and left for home.
Quite a day.

2 loads of washing and a little clean up, then down to the Casino for my
free movie. It was 'The Secret -Dare to Dream.' I enjoyed it.
Early night again tonight. Have a good week everyone.

Georgia, that makes total sense. Things add up and suddenly you're not enjoying life as much. I do hope all goes well for you with your procedure and your poor shoulder comes back to life properly. Col has had many frozen shoulders due to his Diabetes. They are not fun. Do take care.

Anna, you sound a little stressed too. Hopefully you had a nice night's sleep and are feeling fit today.

I've had a day at home. I made some bookmarks for people who ask for an annual catalogue. They have the In Colours on them. Other than that, I have been creaking around with a sore back today. Col is in selling mode as he found a few things in his shed he could do without and put them on Marketplace. He's had some success today which is a mood lifter for him.

Hi Susan.

Just very tired mentally and physically. My shoulder is playing up (like frozen) and I am struggling with a few things.

Also getting ready for colonoscopy Wednesday.

Nothing really but everything if that makes sense.

Live well, laugh often, love much.

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Hello, Georgia. I hope you are OK.

Anna, you are right, we are blessed. God has us in His hands regardless of what happens to us in this world. Glad you got to cheer your friend up.

Brenda, how lovely to spend time in the garden. It always feels so nice.

Had a lovely morning at church. The sermon was on Heaven! Just what we all needed.

Having an afternoon of organising things here at home - cleaning bathrooms, washing, clearing the kitchen and Colin is organising his shed.

Thinking of you all. xx

Sending prayers for you and your friends Susan. That is really sad. 4 people in one day. I went to visit my friend who has breast cancer and is on chemo for two weeks on and two weeks off for the rest of her life. She stopped chemo for a few months now and she told me it feels so nice.

It is now in her bones (neck) so she had 12 rounds of radiation and she had such a sore throat, could hardly talk nor eat. So we had some soup together and she tolerated that. I did most of the yakking to cheer her up. I stayed till 4, then declined an offer of a ride and took the bus. She sent me a lovely text thanking me for the catch up.

It’s when you face your friends and realise how lucky you are in comparison. Live life each day is a gift.

Sorry to hear you had a slow day Georgia. Do you think people are going to Kmart?
I hope tomorrow is better for you.

Thank you, Brenda and Georgia. Last night I found out another friend also has cancer. So four in one day. I pray I don't have another one of those days anytime soon. It is incredibly sad, so prayers are important as is not avoiding any of them and trying to make their lives a little bit better any way I can. Two of the friends are young women, one with a child under 3.

We did have a nice morning ths morning, meeting with people from church for a morning tea and lunch.

All of you, please take care. xx

We had an afternoon that was full of shocks. I had the craft meeting this morning and that was good. We went to the Dr in the afternoon (routine things) but over the space of an hour we had news that a friend in her 30s with a small child has terminal cancer, a friend's husband has terminal cancer and a young woman we think of as a granddaughter (early 20s) has a serious form of cancer. We are still reeling a bit, and praying for them all.

Beautiful sunny day today. Good exercise class, but my back is painful.
I think it is too much strain from walking on the sand. I'm off to Brisbane
this arvo. I have a wellness and emotions seminar tomorrow at the Grand
Chancellor at 9.15. It would be a really early morning rush for me from here
as I would have to set off before 7 am. I'll stay till Sunday.

Have a lovely Friday.

Susan that is good and bad news. Aging is not nice.

Anna how nice to run into them.
What a long journey to and from.

I am tired and in need of some good sleep.

Maybe tonight

Glad to hear about Col's eye healing nicely. I hope he can bear
the knee pain till the surgery.

I went to Currumbin today and now I'm off to bed. Some of
the sculptures were OK. Not as good as other years.
We Walked on the sand and in the water and boy, what a workout.
Posted some photos on FB. I bumped on Deb and Phillip, Maria S's
daughter and son in law and their youngest daughter, Georgia.
Small world. Then had lunch at the Surf club. Exhausting as it took
us 2 hours and 3 buses to get here and same going back. 8pm & bed...

Quick update. Col's eye is healing nicely. His knee needs to be totally replaced. The wait list is 4 - 6 months.

We are waiting at the Opthalmology clinic now. I have to wait outside the waiting room as I am only his registered carer, not the one with an appointment. Hopefully they will remember to call me in when Col sees the Dr. They told us it would take 6 - 8 weeks for his eyesight to return, with no guarantees about what he would be able to see. I make it the end of November to find out how his vision will be.

I made a couple of cards yesterday but had trouble sitting still.

Also sorry to hear about Col's eye problems. Just a few weeks ago my great grandson got glasses and he seems to have the same problems as me as a child.

Did my sleep test last night. I hope I got all the wires in the right place.
Had to return the unit this morning between 8 and 10.

Afterwards went to Burleigh and met my son and we drove to Currumbin
for the Swell sculpture festival on the beach. We couldn't find a park, so we
left. It's on for another 10 days I think. But with school holidays starting, we
will go again either tomorrow or Thursday.

Sorry to hear that Col is still having problems. I hope that he gets better soon.
You are now the taxi driver Susan. I'm sure it will be good to do some crafting
tomorrow.

Progress with Col's eye is very slow. He finds light is too much so he is wearing sunglasses everywhere. We went to an Occupational Therapist today and it was a long session so she could prepare a report for NDIS funding. That's a slow process too. I did little else today but drive, sit through appointments and housework.

Looking forward ot crafting with friends online tomorrow afternoon.

OK Georgia. What time do you finish work on the Saturday?
I could come over and we could go together to church.

Went and had my doc fill in the Health directive and he checked my BP.
He and I are so happy as it is now 125/80. Yay.

Off to bed now. Picked up the sleep test and now have to wire it up
on my own. Should be fun. Goodnight.

Thanks Georgia now I know.
I enjoyed dancing today. I have a multicolored fabric shiny (few years old) and it was liked. We do tend to compete (inspiration) on costume but only in a friendly way. Its a private group and we don't dance in public. Next week we are asked to wear something tight fitting, not a problem as I have plenty of tight fitting.
I need to re-pot my Hoya as the wind blew it over so off to get a bigger pot.

Brenda Panagias is one of our churches here in Brisbane. Greek church.

I am just listening to the birds having fun with the sunrise and it is supposed to be a lovely 27 today so looking forward to that too.

Nothing much else planned. I do need a rest day.

Hi Georgia. Are you going to Panagia next Sunday for
the service or St. George?
I had a dream that someone broke into my house and scared me.

Seems like today is a rest day for everyone.

Crafting and art groups and social groups - yay! Glad to see each of you have had a bit of these things in your life the last few days.

I was just so busy with friends staying overnight and looking after Col. I haven't had a chance to craft so dipped into my card stash this week to give cards to people with birthdays and anniversaries.

Sad about the Cards for Troops Drive ceasing but yay about our Troops coming home from deployment!
