Glad the trip went well for you Dorothy.

I've had a quiet day and that's what I requested. Enjoyed Olive Garden for lunch (and supper - leftovers) and tonight watching movies.

Janet -glad to hear you made it safely and did not have to deal with the wind. Sounds like a pleasant first day. Hope you were able to fall asleep.

WE made it to and from Pittsburgh safely as well. WE go back next Tuesday to get cancer taken off of his hand - different Dr and hospital.

Didn't get the wind after all. Hope your travels went smoothly today Dorothy.

Made it safely to Colorado. Enjoyed a nice supper with SIL, BIL and his girlfriend. SIL and I talked for a couple of hours once back at her place and now I am waiting on sleep to kick in.

Janet - I have read of those extreme wind storms - hopefully you are safe at your destination before it hits.

I got the dog out for a good long walk before I get ready to haul hubby to Pittsburgh. So safe travels to us both.

Sorry the hair appointment was cancelled Dorothy.

Well, my bags are packed and the van is fueled up. Tim says it will be interesting to see how I do without my morning nap. LOL He's right though! Lots of desert between here and there. If I leave by about 6:30 I should be at Marie's around 4:00. Thankfully nothing but good weather in the forecast other than an extreme wind storm predicted tonight.

Janet - you are on a mission and it sounds like a good mission to be on. You got so m uch accomplished.

My hair cut appointment was cancelled yesterday - I was a bit annoyed as I took time off to make it all work. And our humidity and heat are back with a vengeance so hard to do much of anything. But I did get the cabin cleaned and the plants watered.

Dorothy~Sounds like a good day for you! I am actually going to stay at my SIL's place. We love spending time together and we also easily have alone time together too. Haven't seen her for almost 3 years and that's way too long!

My focus today has been on getting the van ready to whisk me away on Wednesday morning. I was at the tire shop for almost two hours this morning and then I stopped at AutoZone to get a vent clip for my phone and then I went across the street to the car wash. It’s clean inside and out! All that’s left is checking the fluids and filling up the tank. I will do laundry tomorrow and get my suitcase and computer bag packed! Goal is to be out of the house by 6:30am Wednesday to miss the morning traffic through Boise. CAN’T WAIT!

Covid – still no test results, but I have to move forward as if the green light is in place.

Janet - sounds perfect to me. Do you still have your time share?? Last time you went there for you vacation.

Did little things around here yesterday. Nothing major as the heat and the humidity came roaring back. Ugh - did not miss it one bit.

I am only working half a day as I have renters leaving this morning and more arriving this afternoon. So I will go get the cabin ready. And then a hair cut and pedi for me.

That's right Dorothy. A text would have been extremely simple for them. Bet they are on your "don't rent to" list now.

I'm so thankful Tim is supportive of me getting a complete break from the house. I love spending time with his sister too and I haven't seen her for years and that's way too long. I am not planning to come home until the following Friday or Saturday. Hoping to meet up with a Spark Friend for lunch while there so that's exciting. Mostly I just need lots of down time. I will take some paid work with me too since I've got active files right now.

Today was quiet. Online worship and jigsaw puzzle time. Going in the morning to get new tires on the van and then I'll go wash it and vacuum it in prep for the road trip.

Janet - that sounds amazing - a little mini vacation just for you. I can not wait until I can get away by myself again.

It was very odd that they just left without saying anything - how hard is it to shoot a text??

I got the cabin cleaned, the lawn mowed and plants planted at the cabin yesterday. I will go back up Monday o get it ready again.

Dorothy~I’m with you. Had they notified you Monday or Tuesday the possibility of some type of refund would be considered. Does seem odd to just leave the place with all the lights on though.

Getting my to do list finished up easily today and making initial plans for my vacation to Colorado as I’m planning to leave Wednesday. Only “have to” prior is to get a full set of tires for the van and I’m going to call on that today once back from groceries and get an appointment scheduled. Isaac wants to go with me, but Tim has already told him “no” as I need this break fully away from daily life.

I really need to pull budget reports this afternoon, but part of me just wants to work on my puzzle. Since I can do that tomorrow I probably should get the August reviews done before leaving town. They aren’t hard, just time consuming.

Heather - we had such a lovely week f weather - a break from the humidity and the heat and much cooler nights but I fear the heat and humidity are returning this coming week.

I take my dog for a walk every morning - its our new routine and he won't leave me alone in the morning until we go.

Janet - I love your new picture. She does a very good job.

Glad you finally got some rest.

I got a text from my renter yesterday afternoon. He said that they left on Monday - family emergency - was wondering if they would get any refund. Umm - you left on Monday and don't tell me until Friday - and I was up there on Wednesday to mow and could have taken care of things plus I turned away other renters - I do not think so. They had all of the outside lights on and some inside lights on - so weird. I am wondering if they got scared - lol! Just bizarre. So I went up to clean last night and Michael and his friends stayed there last night. I have to go up to clean and mow today as I have renters arriving today until Monday. Then I have more renters arriving on Monday. They leave on Thursday and I have more arriving on Thursday - they leave on Saturday and more arrive- it is going to be a very busy week.

Heather~Glad you had a nice visit with friends.

My day was paid work and then Maegann worked on my hair. Roots, highlights and a cut! She does such a good job. Thankfully I had a good night's sleep as well. Tomorrow some chores, meal prep and puzzle time!

Janet - the heat messes with my sleep also. I’m okay going to sleep but stir often in the night and wake early. I’ve had to take naps this week also.

Doro - mowing for me has slowed down with the hot weather. I’ve been making it almost two weeks.

Had parents of Joe’s good friend over for dinner last night. It was enjoyable but a long day of prep so no big plans today. Had a nice walk/hike with Libby. She got to play with a dog for a bit which is always nice for her.

Janet - I am so glad I do not have to worry about school. Such hard decisions for all of your mothers. But I agree - I think Isaac thrives in school.

Mowed last night - was suppose to take Mike to Pittsburgh today but he decided to stretch it out to 10 days so I will call when I get to work and change his appointment.

Hope you got more rest last night - I have been sleeping like a rock with these cooler temps.

Dorothy~Glad the storm brought some cooler temps your way. We’re still getting mid to high 90s, but much nicer than those 104+ we had last week.

I didn't fall asleep until 3am again (ugh) so I'm dragging, but I got one client plan written and a second plans documentation downloaded and organized. I have two others that need drafts, but they will have to wait for tomorrow. Decided to get my personal email and SP time finished and then I'll take a power nap before bbq'g chicken for supper.

I did get some answers regarding school and Isaac and I agreed he will stay with the “in school” option even though it may turn into virtual off and on or for the year. It’s the right decision though for many reasons.

Janet - I hope Maegann is feeling better and tht her results are negative.

That sounds like a fun purchase at the food truck. Hope you enjoyed it. Glad you were feeling better/.

Hopefully you got all of the answers you were seeking so you and Isaac can make the right decision for school.

I finished mowing at the cabin last night and hopefully today I will get the mowing done here. It has been much cooler here with the storm hitting the east coast and I must say I am enjoying these temps.

Dorothy~Yes. Seems like it never ends around here! LOL

Hopefully Maegann will have her results tomorrow so she’ll know when/if she can get back to the salon. She’s feeling awful though from the infection so she still needs another day or two to let those meds work and to continue resting to fight it. I am hoping for a negative Covid or my trip to Colorado will be cancelled once again as I cannot take the risk of taking Covid with me to my SIL’s.

I am feeling so much better today thankfully. I did grab some extra sleep this morning and then about 11 I headed out with Isaac to have lunch and drop his school laptop off at one of the high schools. We actually went to buy Alaskan Wild Cod and Chips from a food truck that comes through once each year. As we’ve been watching the Food Truck Race lately it was fun timing to enjoy the purchase ourselves. SO good!!

Now I’m doing personal email and SP before I dig into paid work. I also have a call with Idaho Parents Unlimited this afternoon to discuss IEP’s with the full online school option as I can’t seem to reach the individuals at NOVA. We have to decide today as tomorrow is the deadline to register. Isaac and I are both leaning to not going that way, but we both want to make a decision with all the facts.

Dorothy~Glad you got those prickly hedges trimmed up! The veggie lasagna looked so good on paper and in the skillet, but it was not anything I’d ever make again. Flavor was bland and unappealing. Oh well. Experiments don’t always work!

My day twisted around as soon as I woke up today. Maegann was feeling horrible so she had me take the letter she got from the doctor yesterday in to her supervisor stating she is on a Covid isolation until the results are back. Even the doctor feels it is just her ear/sinus infection as the antibiotic she was taking was not doing a thing to help. Was surprised she woke up feeling so much worse today. I then got home and did a couple things before I just needed to sleep so I did. I woke up not feeling that well but I made myself get some paid work done as I hadn’t gotten to it yesterday and now I’m slowly going through personal email and SP before going offline and probably sleeping some more. Ugh!

With Maegann’s pending results, for the second time, my plans for the Colorado vacation are now tentative until we know for sure as I can’t go if she does have the virus. Thankfully there’s plenty of time before the departure date. (Next Wednesday)

I did text Tim and asked him to bring home soup so we can just have grilled cheese with it as I know I won’t be up to fixing the broccoli & cheese stuffed chicken that was planned.

Janet - that is what is frustrating me about everything that is going on. We are only being fed bits and pieces of the information. So frustrating. And then with everyone else throwing in there theory it is so hard to believe what is true and what is not.

Glad to hear that Isaac had a place to vent his frustrations.

Veggie lasagna sounds yummy.

I cut the hedges when I got home last night - hubby had his boat and truck moved out of the way as he was going to attempt to do it but I did it. And when the neighbor got home I just passed the trimmer over to him and he did his side. They look so nice now. I hate to do them as they are the prickly ones.

Tonight I have a dental appointment after work,

The difficult thing is so many of the numbers are being falsified so nobody really knows what to believe. Isaac vented his frustration over COVID with the specialist this morning as it is affecting school. I think she was surprised how articulate he was on the subject. LOL

Today I've done a few things, but overall not much motivation. I just realized it is my mom's birthday and that does tend to sneak up on me so I'm just leaning in and letting "less be okay" today. I did get groceries and need to fold a load of laundry so there's the chores. I need to prep some veggies for supper (veggie lasagna) and then I'd like to work on the puzzle for a bit.

Heather - that sounds like a wonderful time for Matt and Joe.

I wish they were not doing fall sports here. It is making me nervous. Our cases are rising - nobody seems to take it serious.

The cabin is a vacation rental - it is through VRBO - but I am getting ready to take a big step and add an addition on and we will move up there. WE have outgrown our house - or should I say my hubby has - he has so much stuff we just do not have the storage for it all so I will make sure there is plenty of storage up there. And it will be so nice to go from 2 properties down to one property to take care of.

Janet - I did get some rest - thanks. I ran errands and mostly puttered around the house all day. I did take the dog for 2 walks to get all of my steps in.

Heather~That sounds like a fun time for Matt and Joe! I looked up photos for both activities. Wow!

I spent most of the day offline and enjoyed that break. I worked on my puzzle and rested mostly. We only reached 100 today so at least the 105+ days may be done. I hope so.

You ladies are so productive!

Doro - that’s the type of mop I have - don’t know the name either. Is the cabin a vacation rental?

Janet- Excited for Maegann as she starts the new job. Joe will have two weeks online while the dorm students quarantine and then school will start on campus for everyone. Glad we are over here at this time. Fall sports won’t be happening though.

Matt is taking Joe into Switzerland for an overnight camping trip Tue-Wed. They will hike and cross the longest suspension bridge in Europe and on the next day go up a chair lift and ride mountain trikes down. They are both pretty excited.

Janet - I am so far behind on my finance's and emails - I need to take a weekend and get caught up.

Got a lot of the cabin mowed mowed yesterday but it started to rain earlier than I expected so did not get done. But got the cabin cleaned and new renters are in there. Also went to the grocery store and Lowes to pick up more grass seed. Got our yard reseeded in between rain. And ran the sweeper - only got three canisters of dog hair - ewe!! Also did some laundry and changed my bed sheets. Today will be productive but not that productive. I am pooped

Dorothy~I meant Pittsburgh! LOL I think the deciding information for the school selection will be how they are handling the IEP needs.

Slept lousy last night as I was up almost once an hour. I woke up fairly rested though and then rested on the sofa with the dogs about 10 and fell asleep for 2 hours. I did a few things around the house and then hit the desk work. Finances, school registration paperwork and the weekly meal plan are done! Now I’m almost through personal emails and my SP threads and then I’ll get the puzzle back out.

Heather - what kind of mop is it. I have one that you put in a basket and spin it to get the water out - I love it. Can not thing of the name of it,

It has been a very hot summer here. We are running way hotter than usual. But it looks like this coming week we will get a break - I think it is from the storms hitting the coast.

Janet - glad that Maegann is loving her new salon - sorry it did not work out well at JC Penneys

I think everyone is having the same problems with school this year. Does not help with the ever climbing numbers of cases. So much craziness going on in our states right now with the covid, the riots, and the election. .

Hopefully they can get your internet straightened out.

It is Pittsburgh where we got for Mikes Drs and no - he is not doing what the Drs are telling him to do. Although he has cleaned up his diet. He is not going to PT.

Heather~We’re hot here as well. Actually on an extreme weather warning for 4-5 days of 104+. We hit 101 yesterday and 104 today. Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter still. Glad we have AC this year in the house! I did finally buy a regular mop and that is much easier (and cheaper) than the Swiffer world. I had that for years so the kids could easily help with floor chores when they were younger.

Dorothy~Back to Buffalo today? Is Mike even trying to do what his doctor has asked this time around?

Sorry I didn’t get here yesterday but our internet went out again around 3pm (just when I was able to do some SP time) and didn’t come back on solid until about 1am. It’s been dropping the past few days in the afternoon but is usually back by 6pm. Message just says “emergency repairs or line maintenance”. Hope they get done with it soon! (I didn’t make it. Internet just went down at 1:45pm. and back up about 5pm.)

I got groceries yesterday and am actually enjoying the supper experiments the past several evenings. So far last night's was the best of the three I've done. It was a cold Asian Chicken salad. I had some of the leftover in a spinach tortilla for lunch today. So good!

Today I’ve only been catching up on SP as I have some challenge items for you guys and another team that had to be done. This afternoon I am going to enjoy working on my jigsaw puzzle. The kitchen floor and bathrooms can just wait another day. The weather easily keeps us all inside too.

Latest unknown is regarding Isaac’s back to school. The Board had a long meeting last night and from what I can tell they have delayed the start date by a week to make sure the teacher’s and other staff are ready to go with Covid regulations. Also sounds like they are planning to open with two weeks of virtual school and then “maybe” open the campus. I’ve been discussing with Isaac the option of switching to the new full online school year instead of dealing with the constant back and forth of buildings or home that seem inevitable. If they have sports either way allows access to those activities so I am having Isaac think it all through.

Maegann is finally on the floor at the salon for cuts and she said she’s done more in one full day than she did an entire week at Penney’s. She still has to go through their color and waxing videos and certifications. She’ll fly through those as they use Paul Mitchell color.

It was a good day but pretty hot for here 95. Miserable for me. Walked the dog early and in the afternoon went to the river to cool off with Matt, Joe and a friend. Discovered our puppy doesn’t really love the water. She is 10 months old.

Doro - safe travels

Janet - hope you are not as tired today. I splurged and bought a mop and bucket set that I love. It was well worth the $. I bought it first in Germany but Costco had it in the states when we went back. Now I have one there and here and I don’t hate to mop anymore.

Heather - wonderful to hear from you. Its amazing how fast our kids grow up - Michael just got his diploma from a tech school - he can now work on hospital equipment.

102 - that is amazing. Glad to hear that you are all well.

Janet - Glad you were able to get some stuff done. I love a nice clean fllor. Sure does not take long for them to get dirty.

Guess I better be off and get the dog out for his walk.

I woke up tired again, but got the laundry going, cleaned up the kitchen, went to the bank and then hit the desk work. Not a lot once again today, but nice I can just enjoy a Hallmark Christmas movie while doing personal email and SP. I should do the kitchen floor again (that tile shows everything) so will probably wet Swiffer it instead of a full mopping before I allow myself to work on the puzzle.

Dorothy~Glad the party was nice.

Heather~So good to hear from you! Our kiddos are getting so grown up! Isaac will be 16 next month. Maegann is now a cosmetologist.

Not much going on today. Tim will actually be home late afternoon so that's nice. Isaac's off with Meg all afternoon and Maegann's at work. Alone time and the puzzle is calling!

She stays with us on her days off. I am loving it!! Joe turns 16 today. Oh, where does the time go. Would love to hear how you all our doing.
Dorothy- Matt’s grandpa from N Warren is still living. He will be 102 this summer.

Janet - the cat is back in the house resting. She is still not doing well.

Sounds like lots going at your house to keep you jumping. Your floors will be so nice once Tim is done,.

The party was fun. Good to relax,. Relaxed last night as well as it rained. Tonight hopefully I can mow.

Dorothy~Sorry about the cat. Were you able to find her? How was the birthday party?

Yesterday I didn't get through all my SP threads as it was a busy day and then an unexpected game night. I did get the floors and laundry done.

This morning we slept in and then watched worship online. Great message today and lots of good conversation with Isaac afterwards that came from it. Next up was some rest before I bbq'd chicken. Then I worked on the puzzle for about 4 hours. I made progress but forgot to take a photo. Tomorrow.

Tim continued to work on the tile in the utility bathroom and I couldn't get a photo as it was just a mess in there so another "tomorrow". Isaac went with M&M to DoorDash for about an hour and is now hanging out with Tim and I and we're watching Food Truck Race. M&M are still Dashing as Maegann is trying to fill in some funds for her bank account. She is now fighting a "very good" ear infection. She was able to survive the night and go to quick care this morning.

Tomorrow I need to get some groceries in the house and will get the bathrooms conquered. At least two of the three depending on the one with all the cement being flung around. Then I'll check paid work and then it is puzzle time.

Mike was wining yesterday because he did not feel well. I told them he was not going to PT. He wants a bandaid to make things all better and I think he thinks Aferisis is it. Grr!! I guess the only reason it makes me angry is that he is not doing everything he could be doing to get better - if he was I would not mind taking him weekly But I guess we are back to weekly treatments.

Need to get Dusty out for his walk so I can head to the cabin to clean and mow. I mowed here last night when we got home so I won't have to worry about that. But I do need to get my house cleaned.

On a sadder note I think I am loosing or may have lost my cat. She was laboring for breath yesterday and the floor where she was laying on was wet. Not a good sign. I have not found her yet - I need to go out and look for her. She usually stays inside but wanted out yesterday.I have had her since she was a kitten - well she lived with my daughter for a bit but came back home. She is sassy one but her and I are best buds. Makes me so sad.

Hopefully you get your house cleaned today Janet - I sure need to get mine done.

Dorothy~We got very little rain from the "storms" that came through yesterday. Guessing we were on the outskirts of it instead. Sounds like a full weekend.

I slept in this morning and had time to do a couple things before the client phone meetings and work webinars began. Finally got finished about 4pm so now I'm doing some SP before needing to figure out supper. Working out well that Tim will be home later tonight so one less formal meal needed. I didn't get to my bathrooms or the floors either and tonight it's called "tomorrow". No excuses as paid work will not be needed.

Janet - I bet he will be exhausted by the time he gets home. I have to drive to Pittsburgh and back today and that exhausts me.

So frustrating when the internet does not work. Like our phones - we have become so dependent on it.

I think we are done with the rain for a couple of days. Tomorrow I have to go get the cabin ready for my new renters and mow up there., I will have to find some time to mow down here as well Sunday we are heading to Buffalo for my grandsons 8th birthday - how did he get so big??

Dorothy~So he took a load of stuff to the cabin and you've been trying to clean things out? Oh my. I know the feeling about the wooden utensils and metal cups going in the dishwasher. emoticon

Have had something going on with the internet for a couple days now and all I can find out is "emergency repair". That was last night and then it was out for several hours again this afternoon. I was thankful I had my paid work finished just at the moment it went down. I then did a little cleaning before starting on the next puzzle. I enjoyed that time.

Tim will be home tomorrow evening sometime. A 9 hour drive and then time at the office before he can head home.

Janet - don't blame you for not wanting to drive for an hour for a phone charger. Was she working at the studio? Were they not busy??

Glad you were able to have a peaceful day - hoe your evening went as planned.

We were suppose to get rain as well but did not get anything like they were predicting. And the humidity is at 94%

So I got home last night and hubby had Michael load up the trailer again - I asked him where it was going and he said up to the camp. OMG - I am going to loose my mind - and on top of that Michael was trying to help me and ran a near empty dishwasher with my wooden knives and metal cups inside it. Why do I have to be the grumpy one around here all of the time. I really need some strength. I did not say anything to Michael but I will have to tell him if he is going to run the dishwasher it needs to be full and no wooden utensils or metal cups.

I would be with you. Not going to move it all over and over. Hope you got some rain. They were saying thunder/lightening storms here today, but I've seen nothing. I'd love a storm with lots of rain.

Today has mostly been getting paid work done. Had lots of little loose ends that I decided needed some attention. Now I'm enjoying a peaceful house as Isaac rode his bike to the Rec Center and Maegann is still at work. She is bored and waiting for 7pm so she can pack up and leave. She called me and asked if I would bring her phone charger and I said no. I'm not driving for an hour or more for that errand as she should have checked when she left home. Tonight she'll be spending the evening over at Michaell's and Isaac and I will have Bible study and then I'll either watch a movie on my own or tolerate Scooby Doo for another evening. LOL

Janet = that poor girl. I hope the new changes all work out for her.

Goodness - he is tall. Michael is probably 6 foot 3 so he has passed him.

He helped his dad take some stuff to the cabin yesterday ans stuffed it literally into the shed there. Well it can rot there now - I am not into moving stuff and moving stuff and moving stuff - I am into organizing stuff. . Its his mess now.

I did enjoy my pedi and my hair cut. Fertilized and re seeded the yard when I got home. Hopefully it rains today.

Dorothy~Usually the movies aren’t quite as good as the books, but I could definitely jump right in knowing the characters so well from all my reading. One mistake was making her so proficient with a gun. LOL Hornet sting..ouch!!

This morning I took Isaac for his annual doctor visit and he’s in amazingly good health. The new medication he’s on actually has lifted his daily depression/mood as he checked NO on those boxes for the very first time!! He is also officially 6’4” and isn’t finished with “adolescent growth”. Oh boy!

Got him off with Meg for the afternoon (should be home pretty soon) and then he has some schoolwork to do. Tayler is going to pick him up to go for a drive tonight which Isaac is looking forward to. I helped Maegann with her resignation letter and then got my paid work caught up before turning on a Hallmark movie and going through personal email and SP. A book on the sofa is next. Stephanie Plum here I come!

Maegann had her interview with SuperCuts this morning and she starts full-time on Monday. She was SO happy as she had also learned yesterday from another supervisor level person at JCPenney that she had been misled when hired as the gal who hired her is known for embellishing the truth (nice way to say lies) about things when she really wants to hire someone. She lied about the starting commission rate and the steadiness of salon traffic so bringing in own clientele wouldn’t be necessary. She has only worked 6 ½ days so far and has done 5 haircuts/bang trims. She is so bored and then to find this out was enough to say “The commute is not worth this nor is my skill.” SuperCuts is only 5 minutes (or less) where this is 30 minutes and in the Boise Mall. The hiring managers said all the stylists raved about her attitude and work from the days she was there shadowing and “helping”. They had planned to hire her right after she graduated but Covid hit. She loved it there when shadowing too.

Thursday morning she works at Walmart again (finally) so will use time there to get her transfer to the store that is also 5 minutes or so away from home so she can pick up some evening shifts 3-4 days/week.

Janet - I was just talking about Janet Eveonovich books on another thread. I saw the movie when it came out but I don't think the movie did the books justice.

Michael and a couple of his buddies helped me finish cleaning out the shed yesterday. Hip hip hooray. They had the trailer unloaded when I got home so it is now loaded again.

Yesterday morning when I went to take Dusty for his walk I got stung - 5 in the morning. What the heck. It throbbed all day. Last night we went to move the boat and you should have seen the swarm of I am guessing hornets come out of the boat. I guess I know how I got stung now. I will be careful around that. The boys sprayed for me but not sure if we got them all.

Hope your day goes as planned. Enjoy your quiet time.

Dorothy~Glad you had a good day. We're hot here too. Supposed to be triple digits tomorrow so I'm glad I will be home by noon.

Today was a purposeful lazy day. I did one load of laundry, straightened the kitchen and then worked on my puzzle. Tonight I'm enjoying "One for the Money" (movie of the Evanovich book) while Sparking. Tomorrow morning Isaac has a doctor appointment and then he'll be with Meg for 3 1/2 hours so the house will be empty! I will do paid work and either clean bathrooms or floors. That's the plan.

Janet - I would love to get back to reading. I love my books.

I got my work done in the morning and rested in the afternoon. Too hot to do anything But we did get rainstorms in the evening and that helped a lot. And I did not have to water so bonus.

Graduation party was very nice and then I ran Mike around on some errands and we stopped done to see my mom.

That's a nice amount of space for renters. Hope the graduation party was fun this afternoon. Hope you rested today.

I had a very quiet day as planned. Online church and then jigsaw puzzle time. I got a lot done on the puzzle today. Now I'm just waiting for Tim to be done spraying the lawn for weeds and clean up to watch a movie. He leaves in the morning for the week.

I have some laundry to do tomorrow and plan to get the floors swept/mopped. I will keep paid work caught up, but have nothing so far so might just be reminder emails. Once I finish the puzzle my goal is to start doing some reading.

Janet - there are three double beds at the cabin - plus I have 3 cots - not sure what they are going to do about sleeping arrangements. Plus I will have to tell them to stagger there showers - with this dry weather the well will need a chance to recover.

Never fun to live out f hotels while working. Tim is a busy man.

I think I wore myself out yesterday mowing at the cabin - this hot weather is a killer for sure. I will get some mulching done this morning and a graduation party in the early afternoon - that will be about it for me today. Need to pace myself once i gets so hot out.

Dorothy~That's a great score for Michael. Always nice when they do well. How many people does your cabin accommodate?

Quiet day here after another long night of sleep. I did some cleaning, but mostly worked on my puzzle while watching a Hallmark series that I enjoy. Tomorrow will be quiet too and I will need to do a load of laundry so Tim can pack for another week away. This one won't be as fun for him since it's hotel life and work.

Janet - I will be going up this morning to see if I caught any more mice. And will clean it so it is ready for my next guests. It really is not that dirty and I will do another quick clean before they arrive. I have 6 guys coming that are working on a rail road for a week coming. This should be interesting. And I will mow if it needs it - we really have not had much rain so it is probably just the clover that needs mowed.

Michael is done - and he got a score of 93% for his externship - so happy. Now to just find a job.

Also hoping t get the recycling done today - I am so afraid they will start closing the state borders pretty soon.

And I did sleep well last night - thanks!

Dorothy~Glad you caught the mouse and smart to keep trapping in case there are more. Hope you sleep better tonight.

I did sleep last night. I took a different supplement and I was down for the count by 1am! So thankful. Today I did a little paid work, cleaned up the kitchen and once finished on SP I'm breaking the puzzle back out.

Janet - I did not sleep so well either last night - woke up early and my mind decided to turn on. Ugh - its going to be a long day.

Ran up to the cabin last night and caught a big old mouse. Reset the trap so hopefully if there are any more I will catch them as well. Also finished the mowing up there for the week.

It is suppose to rain today and I am so thankful - I will not have to water tonight. But I will need to run the sweeper - the dog is shedding like crazy and there is dog fur everywhere.

Dorothy~Mice...dislike greatly here too. Sorry about your daughter's dog. I hear daily about Portland, OR riots. The area receiving the worst damage is along the light rail "loop". So sad.

I didn't get to sleep until 2 after all so I allowed myself to sleep this morning for a little while. I believe my afternoon is going to be spent on Hallmark Now movies (Christmas in July) and a jigsaw puzzle.

Not sure if there is any protesting going on in Buffalo - and I have seen any in Pittsburgh either. I really have not heard of much going on anywhere. I do know there is still some.

My daughter had to put here bull dog down yesterday. So sad,.

lady staying at the cabin saw a mouse and got scared so I went up and out out more traps - I had 2 set - now there are 4 - tricky little varmints. Mowed while I was there. I ado not like mice either.

Hi Mommy445!

Dorothy~Glad the trip was uneventful. Is there still rioting/protesting going on in Buffalo?

Another night of getting to sleep way too late (3:30) but I was able to sleep through to 9:30 so that gave me more rest. I did take a 20 min. power nap about 2 while the house was still empty of everyone. Tim was home about 3 and he looked so rested and happy. Said I need to plan my solo trip to his sister's place. Tomorrow he has his MRI (head) and then will be working from the office all day. Isaac has Destinie first thing in the morning and Maegann will finish her week at the salon. No Walmart work for her this week so Door Dash will be her "work" instead.

Janet - glad to hear that all went well for Maegann at the salon.

Nice that Tim was able to meet up and visit with old friends.

Hopefully you get caught up on your sleep so that you can get done what needs to get done.

I did not sleep well Sunday night but sure slept much better lat night.

Trip to and from Pittsburgh was uneventful - just like I like it - but it amazes me how it wipes me out so.

Maegann's first day at the salon went just fine, but it was a very slow day. The others there said they haven't ever seen it that slow on a Sunday. Just glad she’s finally there and the nerves are gone.

I had another 3am sleep time so I headed to my massage with about 4 hours of sleep. I may have fallen asleep for about 30 minutes there, but I came home and did a few things before needing more sleep. The sofa and I were good buddies for a couple of hours. The down side is nothing is getting done around the house for cleaning like I'd planned. Oh well.

Tim will be home tomorrow late afternoon/early evening. He stayed today to spend time with friends that happened to be coming through and has met up with some other "old" friends. Glad he's enjoying himself.

Another 3am sleep time for me. Massage at 8 and then picked up groceries. Ready to sleep now so I am thankful there is very little paid work to do!

Janet - I was not able to sleep last night - I woke up an that was it - and today I have to drive to Pittsburgh so I hope I do not get to tired. I may try to lay back down for an hour in a bit.

The birthday party was nice - it was hubbys great nephews 1st birthday - hubby did not go. First time I met the little fellow,.

Sounds like you had a pleasant day over all.

Dorothy~Sounds like a nice day planned. You definitely need to make time to watch Hamilton (it's about 2 1/2 hours). It was definitely good and the characters really pull you into the story.

Another lazy day here as again a 3am sleep time. This has to change and I know it will once Tim is back from Colorado this week. I was up to make sure Maegann got off to work as she also got to sleep late because of the anxiety of it being her first day at the salon. I fell back to sleep on the sofa easily and then it was noon. Had online church and now I'm Sparking and watching a movie. I did get a load of laundry done too.

Janet - I will have to take the time to watch Hamilton - it is all my daughter and her family talk about,. That is an interesting twist.

I was able to get mowing done at the cabin before the rain yesterday and picked some blueberries as well. Also got the house somewhat cleaned. Today I am going to mow here and help the girl buying the house with the gardens. Am also suppose to go to a birthday party this afternoon.

Dorothy~Nice weather today for you. We're stuck in the 90s with full sun.

Another day of still needing extra rest so I made it happen. Now I'm watching a movie while Sparking and then will shift to pulling budget reports for paid work. Isaac and I started watching "Hamilton" last night and plan to finish it this evening. I was struggling to keep up with the amount of words coming out so fast and he wasn't. He told me it was easy to understand as that's how fast his brain works. Wow! What a way to receive an example of it! I enjoyed how much he was enjoying the production.

Janet - goodness - you have been through a lot. Smart of you to use Tim as back up with Maeganns issues.

It is interesting to listen to my four girls memories of the same incident. Everyone's memories stores things away so differently.

But happy to hear that things are settling once more at your place.

I was able to get a plan together to get more skin cancer off of Mikes hands so we have to stay over night in Pittsburgh a couple of times in August.

And his meals came through. So lots of options for him to choose from in the refrigerator.

Our heat wave has finally broke - in the 70's today and suppose to rain - yea/ I do have a small window this morning though where I may be able to run to the cabin and mow so that is my goal,

Maegann is back to 100% once again. This time the emotion she buried was misplaced so hopefully she will own up to it and this won’t surface again. It’s so strange watching someone disappear because the brain just wants to lock something out. She and Michaell have spent the evenings “Door Dashing”. They are taking turns as far as which one is doing the earning.

Isaac is actually doing very well. He was disappointed as much of his planned 1:1 time with me was gone due to Maegann’s issues, but the last three evenings we’ve made time for eating out (at home) thanks to Wendy’s. I’ve enjoyed their salads. And we’ve watched Scooby Doo endlessly in the evenings. He does not like English so I’m having to do some pushing to get him to improve the grades he is pulling. Told him 4/10 is not acceptable when he has 3 chances and all the resources needed online to find the answers.

I cannot believe how much sleep I had yesterday and again today. The days are short when you don’t get up until about 11:30! Those first three days with M’s issues were certainly exhausting and long. Yesterday I also had a 2 hour afternoon nap and did fall asleep at 1am and slept until 11:30 this morning. The good news is that I was able to focus and get through all the paid work that I’ve had to let slide. It’s only 8:30pm now and I can tell sleep will come easily once again. Thankful.

Dorothy~Nice the the hubby got the message and stopped snapping at you! Glad you got to have dinner with Michael too.

I got through the initial anger last night as I wrote my response to her lengthy note to me. I wanted it to be written so my words could not be shared differently and so I could send a copy to Tim so he'd know what was going on. She's being much nicer today and even if it took her unloading on me, I'm glad she is back to her old self with memory and energy intact.

This morning I slept in (still not rested) and then took a package to UPS for Tim, to the credit union and stopped for a Dr. Pepper. I then got some paid work done and switched over to email and SP as I couldn't focus. A nap is coming soon.

Janet - sorry about Maegann - hopefully she will figure it out.

Hope you and Issac enjoyed your time together.

The Dr pretty much told him yesterday that if he did not do PT or exerciser he was not going to get any better so I guess the ball is truly in his court. And he was really nasty there - I get it - all of the normal entrances are closed because of the covid and since it was our first time there I did not realize how far we would have to walk. So he was hot and tired but it does not excuse it/. He snapped at me again and I walked out of the room, used the bathroom, and sat in the lobby until one of the nurses came and got me because he needed me. He did not snap at me anymore.

WE have had rain hitting and missing around here. WE may get some today. We need it but I was also hoping to mow tonight.

We also got to have dinner with Michael last night so that was good.

Dorothy~Sorry you have a grumpy gus at home today.

Things are about the same here today. I did have better focus this afternoon and was able to get the needed paid work finished up. Tonight I am in a very angry place with Maegann and need to respond to her without emotion. At least her brain is back to normal - or seems to be.

Isaac and I had a good discussion about what went down with her and tonight we are doing our weekly Bible study and then watching Scooby Doo together. We've put our week of 1:1 time on hold for 3 days now to attend to Maegann so tonight he gets my attention.

Janet - that is right - one day done and over - time to move on!!

Hope Maegann and you both have bettr days today.

Just as I figured Mike was in a foul mood today and I am pretty sure it is heat exhaustion,

I was able to finish mowing at the cabin last night. That is the only good thing about this hot weather is that it slowed down the growing of the grass. But the blueberries are starting to pop and I really wish it would rain.

Dorothy~Sorry about the mess with the shed, etc. Hugs!

It's going on 1am and I am praying for a full night's sleep once I finally get to bed. Totally exhausting 24 hours with Maegann. Memory loss hit hard about 3am and my sleep hours were short and restless. She had clarity tonight while Michaell was here (I asked him to come.) and then the headache started to kick back in as she got tired. Offered hope that things are turning around some. I doubt she'll make it to Penneys again tomorrow unless a miracle comes her way between now and 10am.

My tiredness, emotions and lack of focus made for a long day. I also caved to emotional eating, but i'm just leaving it there. One day done and over.

Janet - it takes some people years to figure out that dies and sleep are important/. That is why Mike is in such bad shape.

Glad you were able to catch up with some friends at the picnic. Sorry you are unable t go with Tim Hope Maegann is feeling better. Glad Isaac had a good time.

Yesterday was not a good day for Mike or I. The girl buying our house asked me if I could possibly get the shed cleaned out. Reasonable enough. She has been more than patient
Most of the stuff left in it is Mikes. I asked him could he possible put his trailer in her driveway for me. When I got home the 4 wheeler was in the trailer. I asked him what was he doing and he decided he had to take the plow off of the 4 wheeler and put it in the trailer so he could go get air int he tire. Then he was going to move his boat that has never seen the water that is still across the street in the driveway so he could pull the trailer to the back yard with the 4 wheeler. I just looked at him and headed across the street to start emptying out the shed. When he finally got done doing all of his maneuvering and came over with the trailer and I asked him what were we going to do with all of this stuff he had to get all snotty with me which did not sit well with me as I was hot and dirty. I finally got the trailer all loaded and brought over 2 loads to get thrown away. There is still stuff in the rafters but she can at least get her stuff in there until I can get back there to finish. I had some choice words for Mike. He exhausted himself in that heat doing a lot of stuff that was unnecessary and making a simple task into a mountain. Anyway - that was my adventure yesterday after a full day at work.

Dorothy~Have fun in the yard today.

We had a long night between the bbq and Maegann. We actually came home before the fireworks (Isaac stayed) for games with M&M. She'd been nursing a migraine most of the day and once we started playing her migraine increased and she couldn't function. Once again days of not enough sleep and not eating enough caught her once the anxiety of her first day at Penney's hit. Guess who is home sleeping and not at the salon? She should be okay tomorrow after sleeping all day and getting some carbs/fats to feed the brain. Sure hope this cycle will click for her soon.

Otherwise, the bbq was fun and it was nice to catch up with some of the others that I haven't seen in a very long time. Isaac actually went back over today to spend time with Nate. Initially it was to be a sleepover, but the boys made a good decision to do that another day because Isaac has Destinie at 8 and Nate has a job to do at 9.

I didn't get to sleep until about 3am as we were all up until about 1:30 and then I just couldn't shut down as I was concerned for Maegann and the salon today. That left me exhausted and unmotivated for the day, but it's a rest day anyway so it works out fine.

Tim is packing up as he's heading to CO in the morning for a week. Going to work from his sister's house while there. Sure wish all of us were going as I haven't been there in over 3 years now. I miss the visits.

Janet - quiet days always sound so nice.

I mowed at the cabin - it was not bad as it has been so dry out. I will head back up there tomorrow to finish as I have guests there now and I will have to clean as well. After I got home I got the neighbors yard mowed and half of the other neighbors. I will finish hers today before it gets too hot out.

Today I am going to head to the farmers market and finish the neighbors yard. This afternoon my mom and I are going to visit with the girls - they are with there dad at Chautauqua lake and that is only about a 30 minute drive from here.

I've had a quiet one with rest and paid work. I'm now getting my SP time done before moving to the sofa. Supper will be put together (spaghetti) once Tim gets home from his day of fencing. He'll be exhausted so probably more down time tonight.

Glad you were able to get extra rest. You've had some long days.

I finished up my work project - still don't have all the info I want yet - but it's 99% done. Then I shifted to meal planning for next week and it's done. I found some new recipes to try to see if that will help my motivation in the kitchen.

Tomorrow Tim is going to help Wendell with fencing so it's going to feel like a Saturday. I have to wake up knowing it is a Friday. LOL

Janet - government questions are the worst - I swear they ask the same question over and over in different ways - I think they are just trying to trip you up.

I did not sleep well Tuesday night either so I went to bed early last night and feel so much better today - yesterday was a real struggle.

I did get our lawn mowed after the lady left talking to us about meals. Tonight I will have to get the neighbors lawns mowed and Friday I will head to the cabin and get the lawn mowed there and the door unlocked as we have guests arriving.

Dorothy~They have closed down the bars again here as well. I hope your hubby's arm is better and that the meal lady will be helpful to you both.

My day created a brain of mush. I did not sleep well last night (woke up every hour) so I slept for several hours once Isaac was gone for time with Destinie. I then started in on a paid work project for a client and “mush” happened. Too many conflicting answers to the same questions. Gotta love government! LOL I spent around 4 hours on it and still don’t have it all finished. It’s needed information though as all my clients (and myself) need this for when their kiddos turn 17.

Tonight it’s movie time and Sparking. We’re watching “The Bystander Theory”.

Janet - you can certainly say she is not lazy. She is quite the go getter.

I am allowed int he hospital. I just went and had coffee before we headed over and hid out as he had to fast before his procedure.

But they have closed all the bars back down where we were. It is a huge college town and there numbers started to go back up so the bars were shut down. Pretty smart if you ask me.

Luckily our trip to and from Pittsburgh was uneventful. Hubby was having trouble with his left arm on the way home though. I wanted to call the Dr last night but he wanted to wait to see how he was today. WE shall see. I have a lady coming over to talk about meals with him after work.

Dorothy~I'm guessing you are hiding with that coffee as they won't let you in due to Covid?

Maegann will have her first full shift at JCP on Sunday and she's so excited. She also reached out to a business in town who offers wedding/formal event makeup and hair styling and is interviewing with them next week. Tomorrow it is back to Walmart for her though.

I've finished up my paid work for the day and am now watching a Hallmark movie while Sparking. Next up will be PT exercises.

Glad to hear it is going good Janet. Shes all grown up now with a job.

Yesterday went well and getting ready to head back over to get his port in. I am hiding and drinking my coffee as he can not have anything until after surgery.

I did get him out for a walk last night to get our dinner. We walked a total of 6 blocks - 3 each way and had to stop and rest every 1/2 block.

That's great that the test can be done at the same hospital where he will be working. Maegann said the nasal swab burned and felt like they were trying to reach the brain. LOL

My day was doing some cleaning and paid work mostly. Got a few things that came up to handle, but nothing that took much time.

Maegann had the busiest day overall. Got some appointments made (dental and vision), spoke with the Walmart manager and got back on the schedule beginning Thursday afternoon and then connected with the gal at JCP and went in to get the paperwork finished again and was able to set up her station. She stayed and helped at the desk until 7. She goes back at noon tomorrow to finish the paperwork and stay again until 7. Then she'll get her usual schedule of Sunday-Wednesday happening. She is feeling like life is in a happy place once again.

Tomorrow will be about the same for me. Some cleaning, PT and a little paid work depending on what documents I receive overnight.

Janet - there is so much in Walmart made in other countries that she may be having a reaction to whatever it is that they pack there stuff in. Its hard to tell - there is so much that can be causing it.

But I am so happy that the test came back negative.

I did find out that there are several spots in Erie that he can get tested in and I guess they are going to just swab him at the hospital where he will be working.

Better get running - need to get the dog out for a walk before we head to Pittsburgh.

Dorothy~Sounds like a nice day for you. It is interesting how few places there really are for the testing.

Things are looking up at home as the COVID test was negative! Now Maegann can get back to work and get the final things done to start at JCPenneys. She still isn’t feeling great though so we’ve talked about trying to figure out if there is a sensitivity that has entered since the COVID changes at Walmart as that’s when it began and always seems to be where it flares. At least we can all move forward now.

Today has been very calm. Slept in, had online worship and then just doing whatever comes by. Believe we’ll be having a game night as Tim is feeling better and isn’t so tired.

Janet - I guess Saint Vincent will give Michael a test when he arrives on Monday. There are only a couple of places here is Warren where you can get one - probably why are numbers are so low - lol!

Thank god Sams was well stocked but they have limits on what you got can buy, I was able to get toilet paper and distinctive wipes - I was happy. There was only one item I was not able to get - my daughter said it is good to see there shelves stocked again.

Hope you and Tim are feeling better today.

I mopped my floors when I got back home and ran the sweeper - but I really need to dust. Today I am heading to the cabin to mow and hopefully finish up my recycling.

Guess it is time to take the dog for a walk - you should hear all of the noise he is making behind me - too funny,

Maegann got her COVID test at quick care. I've also heard there are some pharmacies who can do them and then we also have a "drive thru" one in Meridian near one of the hospitals who are offering them for $100 cash.

We call our toilet paper "gold" when I bring it home. LOL Cleaning supplies are a close second. I even thought about going to homemade solutions with vinegar and that's wiped out as well.

Tim and I are both just feeling "blah" today so it would be helpful to know if Maegann has COVID or not. Isaac's not happy as he can't go to Nate's tomorrow to swim because we aren't sure. In a way it would be nice to hear "yes" just so we can get through it and quit waiting on it to come our way.

I really need to clean the bathrooms, but just not feeling it today. I have laundry started and did some of the floors, but Tim is now putting baseboard up so just more to sweep so I quit. I do want to sort my jigsaw puzzle during the daylight as it will be easier to distinguish the different shades so I may switch to that project here soon.

Michael is suppose to have a covid test done and it is hard to find a place that he can get it done at - I will check in Erie today while I am there. Heading there in a bit to go to Sams with my daughter. Time to restock my cleaning supplies and toilet paper - lol!

Got all my mowing done last night - hooray. Well - except at the cabin. I will get it done tomorrow. I had my guests cancel - car trouble that were suppose to be there this weekend,. And had more cancel in July. That is ok - it is hard with all of the restrictions still in place.

Dorothy~YUMMY!!!! I need to go to the coast to have fresh lobster.

Not much happened here today other than the usual. Only new thing is waiting for Maegann's COVID results. She's not happy as she now has to postpone JCPenney because of the unknown.

Dorothy~Enjoy your dinner out tonight!

Maegann is gong to use her home salon also. That was one positive from having to purchase another set of tools for JCP.

My day has fairly low key. Main project was getting the finances caught up before the end of the month arrives. Nice having a couple larger monthly payments gone as of this month. Now I’m doing personal email and Sparking before getting my PT work done.

Lori - my hubby and son worked on my sons car all day for Fathers day. They changed the oil and sanded and painted the hood of his car. My son did most of the work and hubby supervised.

Janet - I am sure that is what the problem is as well - lack of sleep. Nice that she will be working in two salons now. Will she still be suing her salon at home as well??

Michael's hair looks good. My Michael hates shopping as well - lol! While cleaning the cabin on Monday I discovered we have a leak on the roof so I went up last night and attempted to fix it. I should know today as it is suppose to rain again. I have a couple coming in from Today through Tuesday.

I enjoyed my pedi - just what the Dr ordered. Tonight I am going out to dinner with a couple of friends. We were going to attempt to eat outside but it is suppose to rain again. But we are going early so it should be quiet.

Maegann got sick at work again (Walmart) so this time they have requested she get tested to rule it out. I personally think it's just lack of decent rest/sleep. Too many nights out past 1am and then getting up 5 hours later. We'll see.

I had another short night of sleep myself and got about an hour on the sofa with a very compliant pair of dogs. Auggie will just curl right up in the crook of my arm and snore lightly. Now I'm procrastinating on paid work and doing more of my paper and computer file clean out/organization. I saw there are a couple new movie options on Hallmark NOW so might check those out while I work.

Isaac only has 2 more assignments left for Biology and I dared him to try and finish at least one more today so he has more days off before English. He had time this morning with Destinie to work out and that sure does help clear his brain fog. He is still wanting to go to a different high school, but I know he won't be able to switch even I wanted to take on the task of driving him there and back each day as registration is way different this year thanks to COVID.

M&M are doing very well and he is much different than the "high school Michaell". Yesterday he shopped with her from 4-8pm and then they colored his hair. Here's a before and after.

The shopping spree was due to her JCPenney job that begins Sunday. She needed to buy a second set of tools as she has to leave them at the salon and she has hers "blinged up" with rhinestones and that is not acceptable for their image. The positive on this is she now doesn't have the concern of keeping her home salon going too. She also needed to get a couple of outfits that she can rotate until she can afford more to be more "wealthy looking". LOL I understand it as it was the same way working at the banks. Dress the part. Only thing left on her to buy list is the shears. Was funny though when they walked in the door with tons of bags (reminded me of Pretty Woman's shopping spree look) and Michaell said, "I've never hated shopping more in my life." Glad he was with her to keep the anxiety level down and to make it more fun.

Dorothy~Glad you picked up some more flowers and it's good you have rain once in awhile so you get a break!

Lori~I hear you on monitoring the online school. I'm doing the same with Isaac. Finishing up Biology this week and will begin English the first week of July. He was grumbling about it today so I fell into the "when I was your age" trap. LOL Told him we had to retake the entire class again if we failed. No online options or summer classes.

My day was good. Groceries, Prayerful Planner, paid work, PT exercises and rest.
