So the weight loss devotional was only for 7 days so my daughter and I started doing one called the 10 myths of dating for teen girls. Since I am single, I get lonely and sometimes turn to food during those times. So I am going to look at these myths and see if I can relate them to my weight loss.

So here I go: "A recent study by Sonja Lyubomirsky, which built on previous twin studies, suggests that about 50 percent of our happiness level is genetically determined and 10 percent is a result of the circumstances in our lives. The remaining 40 percent can be changed through our habits and thinking."

This got me thinking about that 40%. What are some of the things that I have thought of that I need to change in that 40%.

1. Once I have a husband, then I will be happy.
2. Once I have lost all this weight, then I will be happy.
3. Once I lose all this weight then maybe I could finally find mr right and I will be happy.

In all honesty, it seems that most of my thoughts always end with finding mr right, then I will be happy.

I need to change my thought on all this, because it isn't going to make me 100% happy.

1. A husband is not going to make me happy! It's hard work.
2. Losing this weight isn't going to make me happy.

My happiness needs to come from my thoughts on God and His plans for me.

1. When God says my future husband and I both are ready then God will open that door.
2. Being satisfied and happy are 2 different things. I can be happy no matter my size, but not satisfied with my weight.

Father help me find my complete happiness in you.
