The part that made me think, "From the Greek word hedone, which means “pleasure,” hedonic adaptation is the process by which pleasurable things become less pleasurable. We can have that special feeling only for so long before it becomes routine."

Relating this to my weight loss, eating sweets would give me pleasure just like everyone else. But for me I have to eat more sweets then I once ate because I don't get same pleasure I used too. Then the guilt comes, which starts the circle of eating more to not feel guilt. It's crazy. I will never be happy with eating sweets because it has lost the same pleasure it once had.

Father help me find my pleasure in you.
