I love soda cupcakes!

Ingredients
You combine one package of low/reduced sugar cake mix (I like Pilsbury Reduced Sugar cake mixes - yellow) with one can of diet soda. For light cakes I use clear sodas like Sprite Zero or Diet Ginger ale and for chocolate or dark cakes I use Coke Zero or even Cherry Coke Zero.

Mix the two ingredients and bake according to the package and add 5 minutes or so. Test with a toothpick.

Top cupcakes with Cool Whip and strawberries or any other fresh fruit. Voila! Sweet tooth has been cured!

Ok... most AMAZING thing ever to cure your sweet tooth. And it's only 130 calories. Takes like... 5 minutes to make, and it's an individual serving so there is NO WAY you will be tempted for seconds!!!

Hungry Girl's Triple Chocolate Cake (I promise, it's not as naughty as it sounds!!!)

Ingredients:
*2 Tbsp. Cool Whip Free, thawed
*1 Tbsp. Hershey's Lite Syrup, divided (If you use sugar free instead, you save even more calories!)
*2 Tbsp. devil's food cake mix
*1 Tbsp. fat-free vanilla yogurt

What to do:
1. In a small bowl, mix Cool Whip and half of the Hershey's syrup. Place this in the freezer while you make the cake.
2. In a ramekin, or other small microwavable dish, combine the cake mix and yogurt until well blended. Smooth out. I know it looks like a tiny amount, but it puffs up.
3. Microwave for 1 minute, then allow to cool for 5 minutes.
4. Top cake with the topping from the freezer. Drizzle the remaining chocolate syrup over the top and enjoy as your sweet tooth is thoroughly satisfied!

Some things I go to when I'm craving sweets:

- dessert flavoured yogurts
- pudding cups made with skim milk
- Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches
- peanut butter and honey on multigrain bread
- frozen banana chunks or frozen grapes
- a bowl of a healthier cereal (Fibre One with Honey Clusters usually)

Also, check the desserts section on Spark Recipes - lots of really good ideas there!

My best advice would be not to deprive yourself of anything. Find some healthy sweets, like fruit, that you can eat instead of things that are high in fat and calories. If fruit just doesn't cut it for you, find recipes that can be made with fewer calories so that you can still have your sweets! I will be posting some great recipes when I get the time. I'm just starting a new job this week, so I haven't had the time to type them up. But they are all ones that I love.

One thing I will say, though, is to mix 1/2 cup fat-free yogurt with 2 tablespoons of cool whip free. It gets all fluffy like mousse but is very low in calories. It's delicious, especially with some added fruit!

My biggest challenge is my sweet tooth. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can try to control this. I tried to not eat sweets at all once and that totally backfired. I have the most trouble at night after I have worked out and am relaxing. Thanks
