I was just mentioning it in case it was possible. Most people can't take naps. But it's great that you are able to get so much sleep at night!

Just stick with the better eating and keep drinking water. Eventually your energy will return.

I was feeling exhausted before I started that Advocare. That's one of the main reasons I did it. I had several friends who said it gave them so much energy and they lost 15-20 pounds and felt great. I used to drink 2-3 bottles of coke a day and candy and tons of bread. I was exhausted then and the weight was piling on, even though I was jogging several days a week.

There's no way I can take naps....I work from 8am-4:30pm and then I have to take care of my son when I get home from work. I get good sleep at night though...8-9 hours.

Thanks for your replies.

First of all, Dawn, I'm with you! KNOW what you are taking before you take it.

And TOBIE-S, I also replied to your post about being tired and depressed. After reading this, it's becoming pretty clear to me: Your body is going through some major adjustments and trying to heal. Just rest when you can (I would suggest naps for you), and let your system find equilibrium.

I don't like Direct Sales products. My motto about them is "Direct sales is a lot of people working really hard so a few people can make a lot of money". If you want to pay for help with your weight loss, join Weight Watchers and/or hire a Health Coach and/or hire a reputable personal trainer (Certified Health Coaches are also certified Personal Trainers).

Thank you for sharing. This is one of the reasons why I don't advise taking ANY so-called weight loss aids; most of them are harmless but just don't work, but in many cases they contain stimulants that can actually cause long-term health damage. I'm glad that the doctor said you should recover.
Everyone, please don't take ANY supplements or diet aids without checking with your doctor first! The best way to lose weight is through healthy eating and exercise.

Doing my best...one day at a time.

So, I ended up in the ER the other night when I started day 11 (Max phase) of the Advocare 24-day challenge. The first 10 days went well. I lost 5 pounds, I tracked all my meals, I picked healthy meals, and I stopped drinking soda. Day 11 is when you start taking the supplements. I guess my body is really sensitive to stimulants and those supplements have about 5 or 6 different stimulants in them! My heart beat got really hard, my blood pressure went sky high, I felt light headed and dizzy and I was nauseated. I went to the ER with box in hand and showed it to the ER doctor. He said he was 100% sure this product was causing all my symptoms and that the only thing to do was wait it out, drink lots of water to continue to flush it out and try to rest.

My heart is back to normal now, but I still feel not right. It's going to take a few days I think to get back to normal.

Just please, if you're going to take any supplements, check with your doctor first. Some people are just more sensitive to those things than others.
