Iridescent is my Positive Word for 2021.

Plums, grapes, Electric Indigo (when I can find it)
Colors that seem to change when seen from different angles.

Cataracts will be removed. Light will enter my eyes; Angles will be noted in imagination and in spiritual life.
Good plan for 2021!

And LaNette ... HOPE is a great base for the coming year!

I have been thinking on this since this thread was started... I had planned to go with Trust and it really is needed in my life, but I decided my word for this year is HOPE. It is because of my trust in my Savior that I have hope. Though, even when I am doubtful, I still have hope. This year I pray that the hope within me will grow and spread to those around me!

"May the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace as you Trust in Him, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 (NIV)

LaNette

"Be Joyful Always; Pray continually; Give Thanks in All circumstances. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18

My word for 2021 will also be trust. Trust in the Lord. I have a lot happening this year with the spinal cord stimulator implant, and finding and moving to a new home. We want something smaller and easier to handle as we get older.

For 2020, my word was "Choose". Unfortunately, I did not always choose wisely this year. Too many times of giving in to temptation and not enough of choosing the better way. With the word of the year, I always seem to let it slip from my mind by the time Feb-March roll around, if not sooner. I even kept it as a screen saver on my phone. I guess I just got used to it and ignored it.

I think for 2021 I am going to go with a Word of the Month, a focus that I want to have for each month that will align with my goals and aspirations. For January, I chose "Learn" for my word. I am going to finish my first college course and sign up for one or two more. They are all online, so there are many options for start dates. I will probably revisit "Learn" more times in the year, as it is a yearly goal, but there are other areas that I want to focus on too. When I come up with a more complete list, I'll share it here.

I am not ready to commit to a word yet....but want to provide a place and get the thoughts rolling.
2020 Refresh
2019 Balance
2018 Centered

I think that is as far back as I have done this exercise. But plan to continue.
My life is darkened by COVID restrictions and cataracts right now. Will that change in 2021?
Perhaps something to do with 'light' would be good.

What are you thinking about?
