I am a 48 almost 49 year old woman who has always been the "big girl". I got sick and tired of it and decided to do something about it. I am down 120 lbs now and have about 20-25 pounds left to reach my goal. I lived the first three-fourths of my life overweight, I intend to live the rest of my life a "normal" weight-so, "look out world here I come!!!!"

My Goals:
I would like to loose at least 60 lbs by 12/06. Well, I reached that goal. But I did not reach my goal of 150lbs by 02/07. Am I upset? NO, NO, NO, I am not. This is a journey and I can not even begin to discribe the changes in my life that loosing 120lbs has brought!!!! My new goal is to walk 15 miles on 05/25/07-my 49th birthday.

My Program:
I am following the Sparkpeople calorie recommendations every day. Including more vegetables in my diet. And drinking water. Exercise is still hit and miss.--Well, exercise is no longer hit and miss. I now walk at least 5 times a week up to eight miles a day!!!!

Personal Information:
I am a 48yoa female who lives in south central WA. with and around my children-some of whom are grown.

Other Information:
In the last two years I have went from 292lbs. to 175lbs. I am very involved in dog rescue in WA state and own 4 rescue dogs of my own. I also like to read mystery novels in what little spare time I have. I have also a new interest since loosing weight-I Love to walk. Not speed walk or anything-just put my earphones on and walk for miles. (I never thought I would say that!!!)
