I've been insecure about my weight since junior high. And like most people, I make a resolution every new year's eve to finally drop that unwanted weight and get into shape. And a week later I give up. I dream about the day I'll be confident enough to wear shorts or (gasp) a bathing suit in public.

Most of all, I want to start living life. I want to stop opting out of life. I'm ready to make changes in my life and I'm going to start by becoming a more fit and healthy person. Hopefully, in the process this will also help me feel more confident and allow me to better my relationships with friends and family I've been skipping out on.

I know this journey isn't going to be easy. Actually, I'm sure it's going to be A LOT of work. But I'm ready to do it. I'm ready to do whatever it takes for me to be happy, healthy and really participating in the world around me.

Fitness Minutes: 5,115

My Goals:
1. Get my weight down to 125 lbs

2. Run 5K -completed 3/28/10!

3.Feel comfortable wearing shorts

4. Fit into my skinny jeans


My Program:
1. Keeping my calories in the 1200-1300 range

2. Strength training 3X per week for at least 30min

3. Use the C25K running program 3X per week to train for my first 5K

4. Journaling and trying to maintain a positive outlook on my journey, my progress and life in general.

Personal Information:
Hi my name is Becky and I'm a 27 year old who is ready to start living life. I want to start taking part in all that life has to offer, have some adventures and make lots of memories with my friends and family. Right now I work as a cancer research assistant but I'm hoping to become a veterinarian (a hot one :) )

Other Information:
Giving up on your diet or exercise program is like giving up on yourself. And I am no longer giving up on myself!
