Hello my fellow Sparkers -
I will have been on sparks for 12 Years on the 13th of January. I can not say I have not succeeded .. I am still here. LOL.. I work at me by walking ... and trying to eat as healthy as possible.
I still have not gotten to my goal weight. Why? It is not because Sparks isn't a great help -- the site the coaches the people the articles --all helpful.
It is because I have lacked the one thing we all need to make this journey successful. It is the fire within that YOU want to do this for you. That is me..
It has all not been wasted time. I have learned how to eat healthy how to exercise .. I have learned what I need to do to be healthy and lose weight ..
Now I have lost 10 lbs. and kept that off. I have also made many friends and have even met up with some of them .. so special.
What do I do now ? Well I have not changed my goal or lowered my expectations.. I still believe I can get down to a size I will be comfortable with ..
I am going to commit myself to do this for me and only me.
This is what I want for me ..
My hip to waist ratio is high --in the danger zone so this will be what I focus on now.
I will read up on this and do what it takes to get this number lowered, so I know I will also achieve a smaller me ..
I know turning 67 this year is my fire in my belly to do it!
No longer might, it is I will do this .. for me..
I am blogging so please take the time to read my blogs and help me or nudge me need be.

My Program:
watching my calorie intake -eating only heart healthy foods little to no fast foods and little no fried foods.

exercising 45 min to 60 min a day- strength train 15 min. everyday but a different part of the body..

drink more water-minimum of 8 glasses per day.

not restrict myself to living .. and enjoying life!

I have -a son and daughter-in-law

first grand son was born March 21/09 named Markus!

first grand daughter was born August 12/12 named Amelia!

I live with the kids-helping them while they are at work by babysitting the grandkids

I am retired

-love hunting fishing camping & traveling

Other Information:
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis &- Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis & now Osteoporosis but I will not let these things stop me from being as active as I can and to get as healthy as I can! In 2015 I had a heart my surprise... had to have a stint put in and now on cholesterol medication along with different blood pressure medication.. STILL working away at being as healthy as can be -- Since I wrote this I have now been diagnosed with borderline diabetic . I turned 65 in June of 2019 . Health is an issue more then ever. I am coming up on my Spark Anniversary . I joined in 2008... so 13 years.. I have been working on me.. Time to do it!
