I'm a 32 year-old female living in Ferndale, Michigan. My weight has yo-yo'd throughout the years and I am now at my highest weight ever. I went to my doctor and found out that I have perfectly normal cholesterol levels, wonderfully low triglycerides, very nice blood sugar and practically no vitamin D and associated micro-nutrients!

My weight is the reason that I have some serious vitamin deficiencies and I'm now on medication to straighten things out. However, I really need to fix the underlying issue of weighing nearly twice what I should!

I was on a pretty strict diet that included HMR shakes, but I've eased up on that and am concentrating on eating lots of fruits and veggies. I have recently begun a walking routine. It was very hard to start moving and incorperate fitness, but I am now starting to look forward to my daily walk everyday. I hope to start doing some more aerobic fitness soon. (Good workout tape suggestions are appreciated!)

In addition to my weight-loss plan, I have also started attending OA (Overeaters Anonymous) meetings to help me deal with some of the emotional issues of why I am over-eating in the first place. So far, I've found it to be very helpful and I am trying hard to remember to not "eat my feelings."

I recently eloped to Las Vegas and had a wonderful little ceremony with just me and my husband. It was perfect-exactly how I wanted my day to be! I am so lucky to have found someone that loves and understands me! Besides spending time with my new DH, I enjoy gardening, surfing the web, shopping, karaoke and acting. I'm also very protective about my privacy on the internet and I don't post a lot of pictures of myself.
Weight-Loss Goals and Rewards:

Lose 10% of body weight (25 lbs.)-3 items from LUSH or some other special bath item-***Met goal on March 15th, 2009 (The Ides of March!) got a new moisturizer and bubble bath stuff from LUSH!

Three people at work mention weight loss -One item from Sephora or Blue Mercury***First person said something on 4/20/2009, second person said something on 5/1/2009 and the third person mentioned it on 5/8/2009! I bought a beautiful Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Pink Mosaic.

Maintain 90 days abstinent with OA-New plant or shrub from Nursery ***Met on April 28th, 2009. Bought a new rose bush!

Under 200 lbs.-New purse or shoes ***Met on June 7, 2009 and purchased some adorable new sandals!

Reach halfway point (189.5 lbs.)-Special outing or day-trip with fiance***Met on July 12, 2009. We went to Las Vegas and got married in July 2009, so I think that counts as my special trip!

Workout for 5 hours a week for 4 weeks in a row-massage
***Sept. 27-Oct. 3: DONE!
Oct. 4-Oct.10: DONE!
Oct. 11-Oct. 17: DONE!
Oct: 18-Oct. 24: DONE!
I got my massage and it was great!

Lose 100 lbs. (152 lbs.)-One nice piece of jewelry-nothing to expensive, but something to signify how far I've come (maybe some troll beads!)

My Goals:
I'd like to lose 125 pounds and become a healthier person. I also want to learn better ways of dealing with stress (besides eating!).

My Program:
Right now, I am on a very strict doctor-monitored eating plan; it is not right for everyone but is appropriate to my situation. I have a cup of coffee with creamer in the morning, a high-fiber bar, three HMR shakes throughout the day, a 300-400 calorie dinner, eight oz. of 1 % milk and unlimited low-starch vegetables. I have recently begun to substitute some different foods for some of my shakes (low-fat popcorn, fruit, lean protein serving, etc.)
