I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your comment on my Blog about my hubby. That was SO sweet of you!

He's expected to be discharged on Wed, so that's good news!

    Have a wonderful week!
P.S--can you give me any kind of info on what I can expect in the next few weeks/months? I went to see him today and he was very emotional & frustrated. I'm guessing that's probably normal, all things considered. Thank you!

A long time ago, I had read about interval training. I don't think I can pedal all out for a mile. But, at the end of my trainer ride last night I was able to twice ride all out for 30 seconds. I figure I'd try that again tonight and see if maybe I could do it three times. I think once I can get 5 sets of riding as fast as I can, I would start increasing the time from 30 seconds to 40, to 50, to 60, etc.

I've used a similar methodology to increase my walking speed from 20-minute miles to as fast as 16-minute miles. I *assume* the principles are the same, but I'm not a sports-ologist so I'm not sure if it'll work or not. I just figure it cannot hurt.

Funny thing is I don't think speed is that important, but I also don't want to try a century at anything less than a very consistent 15 mph speed. So, I'm willing to give intervals a try. Oh, and the losing 40 lbs., yes, I'm willing to try that too. Hee hee!
