I just joined today, Feb. 6 '08...

I have been losing on my own with the help of a book I found, How To Train your brain to think like a thin person, by Judith Beck...... It has helped me very much to change my attitude towards foods and my "Old" habit of eating when STRESSED.......I started at 175 and had lost 27 pounds before I found SP... I want to loose about 11 more and thought maybe some more suport would help get off those last Hard to loose 11 pounds.....

My user name comes from a hobby I have... I love Blue birds and I have attracted them to my yard by placing Meal worms out every morning in a little box feeder attached to my Den window...... I have my morning coffee while watching them come in for their breakfast.....

I have been a spark member now for about 5 months.... When I joined I had already lost about 30 pounds on my own with the help of a book, How to train your brain to think like a thin Judith Beck... I wanted to lose a little more to get in the middle range of my normal BMI range.... I have not been very focus and have just been going up and down and up and down again.....Not really getting anywhere...

Two weeks ago today, I decided to do a 3 week challenge.. I made myself 5 goals to do daily for the next 21 days....
My daily Goals are.
1. Journal everything ALL day...
2. Walk...
3. Control my evening eating...
4. Report to my friend everyday...
5. Do something fun everyday...

Today is the last day of the second week and I have been focused 24/7 each and everyday so far....the scale shows it.
I started out at 146..
First week I lost 1 pound and this week I have lost two more, so this morning I was 143.......COOL... I have one more week in my challenge, and I KNOW I can have another awesome week.......

I would like to lose about 6 more pounds ... Today at 143 my BMI is at 23.8... for my weight and height the normal weight range is between 18.5 and 24.9.. So I am in the range now but closer to the high end. My goal weight of 137 would put me almost in the middle of the BMI range so that is my LONG TERM GOAL for the YEAR.....

I love the spark site.. I journal my nutrition here daily and also my walking........Usually when I get this close to my goal , I get too comfortable with what I have done so far, and I stop and go right back up the scale, WELL, Not this time......

I am going to get these last 6 pounds off by my birthday in July.... There are so many things right now in my life I feel like I can't control, but I do know that I can control what goes into my mouth..... So I am sitting up my monthly goals till my birthday so I can see them in black and white and let you all see me get there....I will be accountable for my goals....

My Goals:
1. To diet for health now, not a number on the scale.

2. Not to over eat in the evenings, which is my hardest part of the day!

3. To like myself.

4. Eat the # of calories to keep me at my goal weight of 135 to 138. If I do that now, my body will slowly go to my goal weight.

My Program:
My program is to eat the number of calories my body would need if I was already at my goal weight....I only have 6 pounds to go so this would not be too few of a calorie difference to mess up my metabolism..

Walk Every day.
