Orange Theory is an hour long, heart rate monitored, instructor led workout that includes treadmill, rower, and floor/strength work. The name comes from the creator splitting heart rates into different zones, gray, blue, green, orange, and red. Where gray is resting, blue is slightly elevated, green is a steady state workout, orange is where you're really pushing, and red is 91% of your Max Heartrate +. With the idea being that if in the hour you can get your heart rate into the Orange zone for at least 12 minutes, then your metabolism will be elevated for the next 24 hours. I don't know if that's a bunch of hooey, but it's a great interval workout. And you're only working out at your best, so on the treadmill you can be a walker, jogger, or runner and you're working at your pace. And there are modifications for the floor exercises to make them low impact or joint sensitive if needed. And the workouts change every day, but it's the same workout nationwide at any of the facilities, which is cool. So you don't get bored, your body doesn't get used to it, and it's not zumba or some other choreographed workout so I don't look like a moron. :)

First.... I want to apologize for not answer question about going gluten free, IF you haven't already checked it out yourself by now.... Some how I completely missed your comment.

OK, going gluten free is difficult at best but the benefits are so worth the effort. Just remember that the things that contain flour and all wheat's will be completely off the menu. You will need to substitute other types of flours and fillers like rice flour. Most can be found in a specific section of the grocery store or from what I have witnessed, in each individual section they are less expensive.... like the pasta section has their gluten free options close by. Be careful and ALWAYS read labels. Even spices can have glutens in them. My daughter had to go completely gluten free so she will not touch anything prepared unless it is (guaranteed) gluten free.

Good luck and I hope it helps you feel better and as my daughters said.... Have more energy and feel awesome!

Thank you for the umbrella. The third round of rain and wind has sent more hills sliding down onto roads. Interstate 5 the main highway between Seattle and Portland was closed. Everyone came to our little highway and we had more mudslides. It has been wild. Most of Vernonia is homeless, but this happens about every ten years there, so they are prepared, uncomfortable but prepared.
