UPDATE: 3/26/11 - I am a happy Mommy of 3! Thanks to being active and eating very healthy throughout and after, I lost all my pregnancy weight within 2 months. Plus some more! I am now at what I thought my goal weight would be (135-137lbs), but I realize I may need to drop about 10 more pounds and add back some muscle. I figure returning to Spark will help keep me motivated and on track!

UPDATE: 3/26/10 - So I'm pregnant again?!?! I just completed another 1/2 marathon at 6 weeks pregnant. Now I plan to take it easy, but safely keep up the exercise. My goal is to have a safe, happy and healthy pregnancy.

UPDATE: 10/31/09 - I have been able to easily get back in shape after #2 due to my commitment to a healthy lifestyle. I started Sparkpeople in 2007 (when my 1st daughter was about 6 months), and I have used this wonderful program through my 2nd pregnancy and continue to lead a healthy lifestyle and be an example for my children. In fact, I ran a 5K this morning in the pouring rain and couldn't wait to get home and log in my cardio :)


UPDATE: 3/31/09 - I had another beautiful girl on 3/5. I am recovering very nicely after the c-section and have already lost 20 of the 27 lbs. gained! I am looking forward to being able to run and workout again.

Hi! I have been on Spark People for a year now, and I am in the 130's for the first time in about 12 years! In Aug. 2006, I was at my high of 179lbs. right after having my daughter. I have always been relatively healthy, but when I saw pictures of me I was sad. It was depressing that I couldn't find a nice picture to display of our new family because I was embarrassed. Shallow, but true.

Anyway, I love challenging myself and the friendly competition and support of other Spark members has helped me get my sassy spark back! In 2008, I will continue to set goals for myself. Reach for the stars! I can accomplish anything with determination!

elliptical and treadmill at the gym, hikes on nice days, workout videos at home, stroller walks

pilates, ab work

    Thanks for the nice comments and congrats on completing your first half, and on your great weight loss! I have family in Atlanta and thought of doing the ING Marathon there as well - but the hills scared me!:-) Maybe next year after I put in some hill training, which in Florida means running on a treadmill at an incline (yuck!). Good luck and run strong on March 30!
