Finally graduated with my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and about to start a new job. Diagnosed with hypothyroid in 2008 and PCOS tentatively at age 16, and confirmed in 2009. I maintained a healthy weight all through high school and college by dancing 10-20 hours a week, and I loved it. Since graduating college, I had to put dance on the backburner while I slogged through grad school and work. It's time to get back to the studio, and time to get my body back after two hormone disorders packed on way too many pounds. I struggle to lose even an ounce and seem to be stuck, but stubborn me, I just can't quite manage to give up.

My Goals:
Getting my dancer body back. My "happy weight" is about 125 (I am 5'4"), maybe down as low as 120. Right now, I'd settle for losing 5 lbs...

My Program:
Not great about tracking food, but I try to work out at least 3 times a week. Most recently hitting the cardio equipment (elliptical, treadmill, bike) for 45-60 min a couple times a week and at least one round of circuit training a la Jillian Michaels. Switching it up to increase the weight/circuit training in hopes of actually losing a pound. :-/

Personal Information:
I am: a nerd, a bookworm, a dancer, overweight, a New Yorker living in Philadelphia, a writer, a musician, addicted to "what not to wear," a girlfriend, "mom" to my two cats, a sleep lover, a coffee addict, and a little dorky.

Other Information:
Sweet and supportive boyfriend has offered incentive of buying me a pretty dress when I go down a size :)
