I'm from Mississauga, Ontario, 70+ female and returning to Spark People after several years absence. My weight has stayed pretty much the same over the years; however, my joints would feel so much better if I was carting around 10 lbs. less.

My favourite activity outside of volunteer work and crafts is walking. Try to do 45 minutes to an hour most days of the week although winter can be a challenge.

I keep a journal every day which is a must for me tracking weight and the last time I ate for the day. I no longer get up in the middle of the night and have a picnic in the kitchen. Finally seeing success and I sleep much better than I used to. It took me quite a while to finally get a handle on this. I persevered with the ups and downs to get to this point and never gave up on myself.

My mantra......The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change,
Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Grant me the patience with the changes that take time,
An appreciation of all that I have,
A tolerance of those with different struggles,
and the strength to get up and try again one day at a time.

Fitness Minutes: 49,257

My Goals:
Loose that last 10 lbs. which never wants to leave.

My Program:
For starters, doing what I do now and incorporating Spark Streaks. As soon as I feel ready will start tracking and adding more exercise especially strength training.

Personal Information:
I've been a volunteer at my Senior centre for almost 15 years.

Other Information:
My other goal is to get active with a couple of teams for support and to be supportive.
