My goal for 2020 is to stay focused on my healthy lifestyle. Long enough to weigh less in the start of 2021. Current weight is 209 pounds, overall goal weight is 139. I am definitely a work in progress and will never give up on myself.

I've been asked, Why am I doing this??? Why do I want to lose weight?? Why do I want to be healthy??

I have been overweight ever since I was 10 years old. I have always been the short chubby one that everyone loved, but I didn't really love myself. I always felt uncomfortable around people and wished to be athletic like my sister. My family always reminds me that I am overweight and always tries to guide me to healthy eating. They used to be annoying in my eyes. Now that I'm older, I know it was all out of love. Too bad I didn't take them more serious when I was 10.

*********** HOW DID I MAKE IT? **************************

~ Intermittent Fasting - I fast daily for 16 hours and eat for 8 hours. Once my window closes, it prevents me from over eating. I plan out all of my meals and make sure that I'm getting in all of my calories for the day. Goal is between 1200 to 1500 daily depending on how active I am throughout the day.

~ Set small goals, 2 lbs a week because slow and steady always wins the race.

~ Read spark member pages and watch YouTube videos for extra weight loss motivation.

~ Logged EVERY BITE into my fitbit and be honest with myself

~ Weigh in once a week, every Monday

~ Take monthly body shots and measurements

~ Have a daily 1000+ calorie deficit

~ Drink 128oz/16 cups of water daily

~ 10,000+ daily step

~ Fruits, veggies and water are now part of my life

~ Self Control, Do you think you can make it without self control?

~ "NO" is my new favorite word, LOL.

~ Whole wheat products, breads, pastas and rice aren't all that bad after all.

~ Exercise Routine: Walking, jogging, Extreme Fitness, Insanity, Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, The Firm, Slim & 6, Chalene Extreme and Xtreme Hip Hop w/ Phil

~ Muscle burns fat, gave me more ENERGY and boosts my metabolism.

~Once I get closer to my goal weight of 139, I will start strength training. Right now I'm focusing on cardio to get my heart healthy.

**WELCOME TO 2020**

Have you ever heard of Intermittent Fasting? There are many different types of fasting. I Fast for 20 hours and Eat for 4 hours. The key is making sure to get in all of your calories for the day, which is 1200 to 1500 for me. You pretty much set your own schedule. I start eating at 1pm and stop by 5pm daily. This has totally kicked started my weight loss again and helped me stop late night snacking.

My Program:

1. Stay focused & Motivated!

2. Eat Healthy one day at a time

3. Drink 16+ cups of water daily

4. Exercise for at least 45-60 minutes 5 days a week.

5. Getting in over 10,000 steps daily

6. Intermittent Fasting

Hi Dedrie, Thank you. I didn't know about the team fitness minutes. Almost all of my minutes are walking minutes. I'm fortunate to be retired so I can usually go out before it gets too hot (in the 100s here in Texas lately). I do 13000 steps or more a day. I only get about 120 minutes a week doing weights/stretching. I walk so much that I often get people, mostly old men who I do not know, frown at me and ask "just how far do you walk everyday?!?!?" My neighbors must think I'm nuts. If I had a bigger house I would get a treadmill. You are doing a emoticon too!
