"Life is not easy for any of us but what of that? We must have perserverence and above all, confidence in ourselves." Marie Curie

What a great quote from a woman who was truly a standout in her time. I like it because it reminds me that no one has it easy. I often see people who look like they have it made, a twinge of jealousy. Then I get to know them. Their life is no easier than mine....just different. Different challenges and some of the same challenges.

We are all here at Spark people for one reason....to improve ourselves. The specifics are different....but the idea is the same.

Spark People helped me get back to a weight where I was happy. Now my challenge is to perserve with goals and living healthy.

How to do it:
1) Be consistent. Log in your food. Even that itsy bitsy peppermint patty. It'll keep you honest.

2) Exercise almost everyday. We weren't made to be sedentary. Crazy schedule? Try just 10 mins. Ride a bile around the block. Situps/pushups before you dash to work. Jog while you wait at ballet practice.

3) Find support. We all are doing variation of the same thing. There are so many spark teams...you'll find one with similar interests.

4) Set specific goals and set specific rewards for those goals.

Thank you so much for your comments on my SparkPage! I came over here to check yours out and added you as a friend...as soon as I saw you with Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, I knew I had to follow along your journey. My younger son always tells me I'm like Mrs. Incredible. Gotta love kids...

I am really impressed with your Disney Marathon...congrats!

I'm going to use your idea for working out while the kids are working out...my older son swims 4 nights a week and my younger one plays soccer more times than is probably reasonable! LOL! But there's no reason I couldn't get in a 30 min run around the soccer fields while he's warming up before a game, or hit the track at the high school where my other son swims.

    Thanks again for reaching out...

Great hearing from you. We moved to Birmingham in July and Gerri is a 1L at Cumberland School of Law @ Samford University. She LOVES it and is doing very well. She has done better with running than I have and she just recently completed Mercedes Half.

I have struggled with some pain in my leg and recently had preliminary diagnosis of Exertional Compartment Syndrome. Not 100% without 1st having MRI and Compartment Pressure testing. Not sure I want surgery, so I'm trying to develop my own way around it. Will see how that goes.

    How's life in Charleston?
