My name is Lisa and I am in the process of losing some weight....

I have decided to set small goals for myself. I am hoping that it will help me stay motivated.

I love walking, whether it is on the treadmill or at the local track......it's a great form of exercise.

***6/2/12 UPDATE..........Well, I have just about reached my first small goal...........and since I started, I have lost 34 pounds all together.........(I started tracking on SP a couple of weeks into the process, so my numbers are different on here)

Once my first goal is complete, I will set ANOTHER one......:) (I'm hoping that by next Sunday, I will have reached my first goal.....I'm only a pound away!)

***6/24/12 UPDATE..............Finally reached my first goal! 36 pounds are gone! Just adjusted my ticker for another 30 pounds to lose! Woohoo! What a GREAT FEELING! Bought myself an iPad as a reward!

****9/2/2012. Update........I have crossed over the 40 pound mark! Definitely headed in the right direction after a Summer of ups and downs (stupid plateau).

****10/28/12. Update......well, i finally reached the 45 pound mark! Only 21 more pounds to reach the next goal.....hopefully, by the new year!

******5/18/2013......I am finally past the plateau! 53 pounds are gone! 14 more to go to finish this goal......I am completely ecstatic about busting through this plateau......I have been stuck since the holidays! Now that the scale is finally moving, I know that I can reach my goal. I may even push for another small goal.....:-)

*****6/28/13 these last 14 pounds are the toughest to lose! I just know they'll come off.......doing it 1 pound at a time......:-)

****2/27/14 Well, it has been a rough one! I am STILL battling the last few pounds. The important thing is that I am NOT giving up! I have not been obsessing over the scale as much. Quite frankly, it was making me loopy! Anyway, I continue to track calories, work out and get at least 7 hours of sleep each night. I have been maintaining pretty much. I can still feel the changes in my body......so, that is what keeps me going....:) Inches are going, the pounds will catch up sooner or later.....

***8/22/15 it's been a long time since I've updated......been super busy! Still logging calories and working out......my focus as of lately has been on "core" routines......weight lifting, abdominals, squats, and of course running.......

Eventually, I'll break through this plateau........

I have worked too hard for this.....I'm not giving up! I am committed to this lifestyle.......


I am so close to my goal of 150.....it has taken me a long time to get here.....and every day I reflect on all the hard work I've put into it.....

Persistence and commitment are paying off. The plateau was horrible to break through too. But I did it.....1 pound at a time......and I for one cannot wait to see that number on the scale. Once there, I will have my LAST small goal to meet......

1 day at a time......this girl is taking it 1 day at a time.....

**5/12/18.....I am so close to my goal....and I just realized that I haven’t updated this blog in such a long time! This journey has been a long one.....and my quest for an ultimately healthy weight and lifestyle has continued and will continue in the foreseeable future.....

150 is so close....and then the last 20.....I am doing it! This journey has taught me so much.....portion control being the number one key......#keepmoving

Update 3/27/20 I am rebooting my plan.....FOCUS, DETERMINATION AND CONSISTENCY is my new motto.....I’ve reset my goal! Time to finish strong!

I’ve lost 16.7 pounds since March......COVID weight gain is off! Now to get down to 130 (original goal weight)!!


I am down to 145.0 as of this morning! 75 pounds down since starting.... I'm only 15 pounds from 130....It has been a long journey, but so worth it!
