I would love to meet some people on here with similar goals... I can be a great encourager, and I need some encouragement myself at times. Remember to share your goals with God... He'll be your best encouragement yet.
I have been so abundantly blessed with the opportunity to complete my masters (MSW), earn a promotion which included moving to a new town I am loving, my kiddos love their new schools, 2 off to on a full scholarship. Recently, I met an incredible man whom I am falling completely in love with. He has also overcome a tremendous weight problem. I am helping him with the nutrition aspect and he is encouraging me to exercise more and properly.
My goal is to weigh 145 or less by my 40th birthday. I am currently 202.4 lbs. My healthy weight range would be between 138-158 lbs.
I am doing the following:
~100 oz distilled/or purified water daily
~"Raw till 4" see Freelee aka bananagirl or for more info
~vegan (mostly raw; 80/10/10)
~squats and crunches everyday
~training for my first 5k with my sweetie
~no processed foods
~whole foods with the exception of my alternative milks (almond, coconut, hemp, rice, etc.)

I'm originally from a very small town in Pennsylvania called Mt. Union, but moved to Indianapolis, Indiana around 9... talk about a culture shock! I have been in Kansas for about 16 years.

    Hi there! I'm from Maryland - grew up in a near the beach. Now I'm in the DC area. You asked about vegetarian lunches. What I usually do is buy a big 5 lb container of salad and a container of grape tomatoes. I may or may not add nuts (usually not). I premix all of that with some dressing and portion it out ahead of time and take it to work. Other times I'll go simple w/pb & j, a couple of fruit cups, baby carrots, and some fresh fruit. I carry enough with me to work so some of that is for snacks, too, or little mini meals. I feel you on the lack of sleep. I'm blessed to be insomiac, so if I don't take something for it, I don't sleep. And even with that, I get 6 hours on a good night! Congrats on being almost done w/your bachelors!
