August 19, 2020 Next Wednesday I start a new program called 24 For Life a pre-diabetic program. The group meets (via Zoom for now) for the first 6 months weekly, the next 6 months twice a month, and the last year once a month. I think this is going to be a great program. There isn't a cost, because it's a grant program in Topeka. I'm looking forward to getting back on track and planning and tracking once again. Never Give Up.

June 2, 2020 Let me try this again...restart...continue the journey...never give up...never give in. I've got this.

It's January 2020 and I have gained back the 20 lbs. I lost and I'm back to SparkPeople to loose it. I can't control others and sometimes things around me, but I can make good choices for myself, despite others not wanting to. I have gone through a lot in the past 3 years and I wish I would have had a personal accountability partner when it came to my eating. I have been using adversity as my excuse. It's terrible to see what too much food and weight gain takes away. I was happier, mentally and physically stronger, and felt more confident with the weight off and I choose too much food and eating mindlessly and it took it away. It took me 5 months to loose 20 lbs. and 3 years to gradually gain it back. It has come back slowly and steady when not kept in check. I worked hard to get where I was and I gave it up for immediate gratification. To say that this meal won't hurt, this dessert won't make a difference, This doesn't work if you're not accountable, because it goes from this meal to this week to this month and before you know it the time has passed and the weight is back on. It may not come back in a couple of weeks or a couple of months, but it will eventually. I need to be intentional, track, and focus on what is important. I will seek, choose, inspire, love, give.

I can't believe the last time I wrote here was in 2012. This is now 2017 and my beautiful granddaughter is 6 years old. I gained my weight back so I'm here to get it back off. My life has changed so much in the past 5 years, but all for the good. I continue to press forward in my journey of spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. I committed to living in the present, to having fun, to relaxing more, and to appreciate my life and precious family and I have accomplished these things. God is good and life is great.

Hi. If you want/need a little push...consider joining us for an 8 week challenge. Why not join the X-WEIGHTED CHALLENGE? We're all ages, all fitness levels, all striving to live a healthier life. There is always something to learn from each other. These teams are also a great source of motivation! We can become healthier by working together and making new friends as we go. We compete in weekly nutrition and fitness challenges. It is similar to the Biggest Loser team. There are 3 teams that compete within the X-Weighted team. We do ATC (All Teams Challenge) various challenges (nutrition, fitness etc.) The main requirement is to post your weight weekly. The ATC challenges and/if individual teams have challenges are optional (however, very beneficial). If you have any questions, please let me know.
