    Thank you for posting a comment on my blog about exercise. I hear what you are saying about exercise. There are all kinds of reasons to not want to do it, but the bottom line is that it is necessary to move in some way, shape or form in order to burn calories. The upside is that there is so much to choose from. It doesn't have to mean working out at a gym for hours. I see that your are really new to Spark People. I would encourage you to learn your way around the website and be sure to look at all the exercise videos. I especially like Coach Nicole and the chair exercises that she does and that you can do with her while sitting in front of your computer!

    Walking is a great exercise and there are articles on Spark People about walking which can be done in an air conditioned mall or outside around the neighborhood. You could take a look at power walking or how about line dancing or chair dancing or chair marching? Anything that moves you is what you need to try to do. Walking in water or doing aqua aerobics feels good when the water takes the weight off of your joints!

    Moving is important to burn calories. Do a little cardio exercise of some sort and then some strength training with bands or weights if you are able. Take your body measurements and weigh your self only once a week. Keep moving and you will find that your body will respond. You might do well to look at the 30-day Plateau busting Challenge and give it a shot! Read the articles and learn about balanced nutrition. Find what works for you, because we are all different. Make some lifestyle changes so that you can succeed in reaching your goals! It takes time and effort to succeed, and you have reasons to want to be successful. You are an example to your two kids who look to you for guidance. Take them for a walk or go bike riding with your family. Do the best you can, and never ever give up!

    Whatever you enjoy doing and will keep doing is the best exercise for you! Go find it!!!
