Hi! My name is Kim

I have now entered my 2nd goal to lose10 additional pounds. This is a MAJOR challenge for me because of a terrible hormonal sweet/salt tooth iI have. I had lost 30 pounds on the Slimfast method and was doing fine until I hit around 46 years old and the ole pre- menopause kicked in. I am 50 now and I do not plan to go into my 50's like a pin cushion!. I see the difference in the changes one's body goes through during midlife, but I refuse to claim it! So I am restructuring my eating habits and working out differently in order to compensate for this new change. I refuse to go back to the weight that I fought so hard to lose. Aint gonna happen!!!

I am now wanting to gain some muscle and try to eat "fairly" clean. This too will be a challenge coming from a moderately junk food junkie! But I say, take it one day at a time!

I have tried a lot of the programs on the machine, but I like mine the best for now. I start at level 4...Keep in mind I'm an ole lady! LOL.....I go over 5 (about 5.5 mph) for three minutes....slow it down to my normal pace (about 4.4-4.8) for about 5 minutes....Then I increase the level by one each minute....from 5-13, varying speeds from 3.5-about 5.5) I go forwards and backwards on the cool downs (under 3.5 for a couple minutes)....then start at 4 again and repeat for 30-45 minutes. I rarely stay on longer as I tend to "burn out" and I don't think it does all that much good after that. I'd rather work out twice a day at 30 minutes each than one workout of 1 hr. Proven more effective. Hope this help, darlin'. Let me know what you think....You may already do more. That's just what I do and it also helps to "keep it changed up" every few weeks. I do the "E" at least 5 days a week....sometimes 6. XO lol
