I am 62 and live at the northern tip of NH, have been married to my DH for over 30 years and have a son who is a culinary and pastry chef at Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine.

My goals have changed a lot lately. I am learning that this is a long term lifestyle journey to a healthier me. Healthy eating, exercise, commitment, honesty, and learning to like the person on the inside. She is someone that I want to get to know and never knew.

I have goals that aren't about simply about weight loss, but about exercise and nutrition which is totally new for me. I also made an oath that is to myself and to the team I am a leader for.

I do solemnly pledge:
that I will do my best to eat healthy and within my calorie range,
that I will exercise to the best of my ability,
that I will watch my portions and avoid mindless eating,
that I will avoid or limit unhealthy foods,
that I will try to get enough sleep,
that I will stretch myself out of my comfort zone,
that I will always try to make healthy choices even when stressed,
that if I slip, I will get back on track with the very next opportunity,
that I will keep a CAN DO attitude, or ask for Help,
and that I will support my fellow pack mates

Because I am an UnderDawg
And every UnderDawg has the heart of a hero.
My long term goals are:
1. Stay within a calorie range of of 1300 (or slightly less)-1650 calories a day.

2. I will log everything I eat (good or bad). I will also strive to increase my fiber intake.

3. I will track my fitness on a daily basis.

4. I will do 90 minutes of cardio on good days and no less than 30 minutes on not so good days - 6 days a week-no excuses. Anything extra is a bonus!

5. I will strength train a minimum of 3 times a week-no excuses.

6. I will work to improve my mobility issues and become stronger along the way.

7. I will make every effort to reach my 5% goal each challenge.

8. I will post these goals in a place where I can see them on a daily basis.

9. I will weigh-in weekly.

Embrace the Future
If you're busy hugging the past, you can't embrace the future. Don't let the past kidnap your future.

2. To reach my goal weight of 155 pounds. I will see how I feel when I reach that weight about going further.

3. Fit into a size 12 (or smaller) jeans .

4. Swim 10 laps with ease.

5. Complete the Spring 5% Challenge and lose 5% of my body weight.

My Program:
1. Measure and track ALL food that I eat, no matter if it is healthy food or "Junk Food"
2. Exercise regularly (cardio & strength training) and track it.

OH MaryAnn, I know you can't see this hon. I just had to put something on your sweet page. It's soon coming up on a year that the accident happened. I wish we could of all prevented that. My heart hurts so bad still such a deep deep loss for your dear family and of course those of us who loved you. There were so many so very many. Sparkpeople will be closing and they've created a new site. I keep thinking about how you'd of responded. LOL Oh I am SURE it'd of been QUITE The conversation, but we both would of helped the team to adjust though will there be teams, we aren't sure, but we'd of maintained the friendship we had, and you would of with so many others too. The park of Sparkpeople moving to Spark360 that hurts so much (tears so many tears) is I feel like I am leaving you behind. If I were able to talk to you ,,you'd be so HAPPY that the Dawg team DID come back to be the #1 team, I am now the CL, I can't fill your shoes, I have my own. Some day we'll see each other again. Oh you'd of FLIPPED this year anyways, my friend, I am in heart failure and Cheri had a massive heart attack, she's alive on the team, had to slow down, and Katie got COVID and her heart has been affected too. Oh you'd be having a FIT!! BUT we are all here because we've taken care of ourselves.

I'll miss so much coming to your page. I love you of course as such a dear dear friend, we WILL See each other. To you it'll seem quickly. TIL that day!!! Oh and I'll be able to meet Jennifer. Hugs my dear friend who's missed so much. Til that day.
