Last year about this time BMW Credit sent me a letter. It said that I had six more months of my lease and then the Zipster would have to go back to the dealer.

Actually it said, �You are on your last lap.�

I read the material and thought - where did the last 18 months go? I should have been at goal weight by now! Being in accounting - deadlines are a fact that I live with ongoing.

Working out and running was now part of the regime. Of course it was January 2005 and ice storms had sidelined me to an indoor track at the gym. But I was still pumped! Water consumption - the very first thing I mastered when starting a weight loss program was a habit that needed no adjustment.

When was the last time I used a calorie counter? Went to the site and logged-in...mmmm...been awhile. How much was I really working out? Looked at my X-Challenge...hadn�t made my pledged minutes in several months...mmmm.

It appeared that I had been maintaining...but not losing and of course the scale tells me no lies.

Gee, I have this great roadster - the car of my dreams - I had planned to be at goal in it - to get that one photo of me at my best with no excuses. Time...well, there always seemed to be �tomorrow� or � after the holidays� or when tax time was handled.

Everyday was going to be down on paper ...every single one. Time was running out - I needed to burn up 300 calories more than I ate daily - this meant being SELFISH sometimes - being ALONE many times - always looking at tomorrow and not at the moment. Live in the present, yes, but with my eye on the future.

I learned the body wants to help me if I will just give it a chance. The mind, if the goal is strong enough will pull you through the discomfort if the vision is strong enough...if it means enough.

Viewing that �deadline� in black and white gave me the incentive to make everyday a �get to goal� day - with no time off for bad behavior.

    Just curious how you have been doing, now that you've been taking thyroid hormone?

    Word to the wise... now its important to take care of your adrenals, since they will be adjusting to the higher levels of circulating thyroid hormone.

    Make sure you're getting vitamin C in small doses, like thru fruits and veggies or by adding a bit of crystalline vitamin C to your drinking water... and a multi B vitamin to help support the adrenals. Now is not the time to cut back on sleep, either! ha
